Thank you! No, just be sure to use some rubbing alcohol on glass before you paint. It removes dirt, dust & bodily oils so the paint adheres. Also, I apologize for the delayed response. I've been "off the grid" for awhile. 😊🎨
Beautiful work!! 🌹Did you learn these techniques on your own through watching you tube videos, art classes or you just have a natural talent for this ? Im trying to find glass painting classes in my area ? Thanks in advance 😊
love this painting! I just found your channel...I would love to have a copy of your penguin ice skating to trace so I can paint her for my granddaughter.I tried the email address you had listed but the traceable could not be found .I have been searching for an adorable penguin and yours is my favorite. Thank you for sharing
Hi Carolyn! Thanks for watching! I follow the instructions on the FolkArt multi-surface acrylic label: "Set oven temperature to 350ºF. Once temperature has reached 350ºF, allow the project to bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off and let glass cool down completely before removing from the oven. Do not use for 72 hours." I place the glasses on a cookie tray & bake a bunch at a time. I hope this helps!
Thanks so much! FolkArt Acrylics have a built-in sealer. You can bake the painted glassware according to the label or it will cure on its own in 2-3 weeks. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching! 🙂🎨
FolkArt Multi-surface Acrylics have a built-in sealer. You can bake your glass items in the oven following the instructions on the label or let it cure on its own for a few weeks. It's supposedly dishwasher safe (top shelf only), but I feel that if it's hand painted, you should hand wash it. I hope this answers your question. Thanks so much for watching! 🎨🙂
Thank you so much Donna. I’ll be following your work closely. You make it look so easy, but I know it’s not so I’ll practice my brush strokes like crazy.
Watching this video at 6 a.m. because today I have to create a "fall flower" poster for my daughters baby shower in 10 days. Very useful techniques and color selection. I'm bookmarking this for later today when I get started. Thanks so much...don't understand why you don't have more subscribers, you explain things well.
FolkArt Multi-surface acrylics have a built-in sealer. You can bake your glass project (according to the label) after 24 hours to cure it quickly or you can let it sit for a few weeks & it will cure on its own. I advise my customers to wash by hand, eventhough it's supposed to be dishwasher safe (top shelf only). I hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@jmcgilvary folk art multi purpose paint. You can also use regular acrylics. Highly recommend drying them in the oven after a 24 hour dry of paints... 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Then the paint won't rub off.
Yes, I find that FolkArt multi-surface acrylics work the best! The instructions to cure the paint is on the label: "Set oven temperature to 350ºF. Once temperature has reached 350ºF, allow the project to bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off and let glass cool down completely before removing from the oven. Do not use for 72 hours." You may also want to use glass painting brushes. I bought mine in Walmart. They're made by Plaid. Thanks for watching!
