Good vid. The second table top @1:27 looks a bit sketchy, blind landing that if you dont keep right of centre could land you in hospital. Should they widen the landing area?
Hey. Very welcome. Yes you can access this whole area from GAP also. Since this video was done a couple of new trails have been done. My latest video is one of them but takes you off the loop with a pretty decent push to get back on it!!
Great looking bike and nice trails. Im looking at Level RR but not sure regarding what size to get. Have you by any chance measuerd RAD on your M size Level and if not can you do me a solid and measue it?
Hey. Sorry I missed this comment. My opinion is a bit weird. I see it as two almost completely separate sports! EMTB has its place and is very cool. But you need to be either riding on your own a lot or else riding with other ebikers. Otherwise you just get bored / cold waiting for normal bikers at tops of trails. The one caveat is SL e-bikes. These maybe bridge the GAP between the two a bit more. If you buy an e-bike it’s very easy to never use a normal bike again….. and that’s ok too if that’s what you want to do. I’m very proud of how disciplined I am. I will not go out on my ebike with others on a normal bike unless I’m doing multiple coaching sessions or guiding. How that answers your question!!
I’ve been overweight for all my adult life. I’ve recently lost 20kg. I’m fitter than you might think. I may blow hard but can go all day. Check out my Strava Stats. I’ve ridden days of 50 / 60 / 70 km plus. I ride my normal bike approximately 80% plus of ridesI’ve qualified to the highest level of MTB coaching available in both Ireland and UK. If I breath heavy and you don’t like it you can turn down the sound!!
@@TrailAdvisor congrats mate!!! That’s awesome. Keep it up!! I just realized what a complete wanker my comment made me seem like. and for that I do apologize. I am in NO position to pass judgment on anyone who rides a mtn bike. We are a family and sometimes my personal issues make me say dick things. Again I am sorry for the rude comment. Happy new year and keep dropping those pounds.
I’m only getting back on the bike after a few years off it! I’m on a haibike full sus! Up there most Saturdays when the weather is decent! Getting to know the tracks more and more especially the ones you have on this video that! The fork looks savage! I’ll give that a go this Saturday! While being hungover 😝
I don’t think it’s not designed to be “completed” there are now 3 different loops. Blue Red and Black. Blue is 5km 100m up, Red is 30km 750m up and Black is 16km 500m up.
I think (as a blow in rather than a local-local) that Fancy is the other name for Luggala off to your right across the valley the far side of Lough Tay. Stand to be corrected on that though...
I’m here with my fam. My daughter will do the odd day biking but nothing too testing. The walks and the hikes and lift system is made for non bikers!!! €2.50 per day for multi pass. Gets non bikers on pretty much all open lifts. Free entry to the pool complex. Free bus service and discounts on loads of different activities / zip lining etc. Look up “multi pass”. Let me know if you have any questions.
Plenty of places on air bnb and booking.com . Personally I think the more central the better! Yep. Bike rental everywhere but maybe need to book in advance of arrival.
Man that looks way less step on camera than it does in person. Still need to do Peatys and Steps., walked the first few features last weekend but yet to get the nerve to do it. Pig Dog and Glitch are great
where does the the plug from the from the display plug into please show the socket can you upgrade from the 2017 BOSCH PURION E-BIKE DISPLAY PERFORMANCE LINE
Hey Brendan. Thanks for commenting. Coillte grade their trails from the eyes of a beginner to mountain biking. In fairness it’s the best way to do it. This trail is certainly difficult with big drops, steep chutes etc. This grading is different to bike park grading and yes, would be more like a red grade trail in somewhere like the GAP. I wouldn’t knock it till you tried it! I thought the exact opposite to you. Enjoying the top half a lot more than the bottom!! If you want jumps and flow Junkers beside this is the trail for you. We are being spoilt for choice in ballinastoe with 4 / 5 other tails opening shortly also.
Recently subscribed as I got back into mountain biking, really like the channel. I'd love to see a follow up guide for Ticknock for unofficial trails, not necessarily a full GoPro video maybe a voice over using previous videos as a guide of where someone could progress from the official trails? Trailforks ratings aren't accurate and I have no idea where to progress from the official loop without getting too difficult.
Hi David. Thanks for the comment. It’s o e of the most requested things I get. But the problem is the unofficial trails aren’t sanctioned so showing where they are will lead to the trail police coming down on me!
Hey…. Everyone needs to find their own place in biking. Whether that’s steep tech Cross Country, big jumps or whatever…. Find what b makes you happy and go follow it. Thanks for watching
