I booked through Schoener Tauchen. It was an extra long, special group trip. So it was more expensive than the normal 7/8 day trips. I payed round about 4000€ for 10 days. Cheers!
Sehr, sehr gut geworden. Gute Kombi aus Luft und Wasser, Klasse. Fuchshaie so nah, dass wünsche ich mir im März 2024 auch, dann sind wir auch in Malapascua. Welche Jahreszeit warst du dort?
Thanks! I used the flat color profile to have the most color correction options in post editing. The white balance I set to auto but you can also use a range of 4500K - 6000K depeding on the incoming light. Cheers!
Hey Nils, we had a few Bullsharks and a Tiger in the far distance. Vis was not great most of the time...I would recommend Protea Banks in SA for more regular sightings of Bull and Tiger Shark! Cheers
@@khkohh For us it was okay. The guides were good and very friendly. I only noticed some small issues with rental equipment from other guests and the prices (for dives, equipment etc.) are a little bit over the top. Could be worse, we would come back.
@@khkohh The organization was fine, just like any other dive centre I would say. We stayed in the Veyli Residence but I would not recommend it. Take a look at the listet accommodations at the Fuvahmulah Dive website. These are pretty much all they have on the island and you can choose from all price segments.
Me too! Feb and March of this year. Im going back. Never been on Fumahmulah though . Just liveaboard. This time Ill go and stay on the island. Any recomendations? Tigers where incredible. Great video!
Hi there, thanks for the praise! I would recommend to visit the fuvahmulahdive.com website. There you can find accommodations, all about the local dive center and prices/packages. Best wishes, Jonathan
Nice drone footage and well cut. Sometimes your underwater footage is a bit reddish. Amazing how close the Tiger Sharks are coming. I hope to see more videos from you.
Great Film! I would like to ask how are you happy with the trip? is the Guide and Team are good? which month was it in this film? Because I wish to book the same liveaboard this September ..but I need more info .. last 2019, I was with another Liveaboard in the Maldives ..Guide was new, and not know so much about the area.. my trip was totally disappointing.
Hey there! The liveaboard was in september but thats not the best season for it. I would recommend the months February to April for the best season if it is possible for you. We often had bad visibility, rain and even a storm in the beginning. At the start of the year the weather is much more reliable and also the sharks are more present. The MV Carpe Diem was a very good ship, very nice crew, professional guides and very good food. Nothing to complain! Stay safe. Best wishes!
Hi, I've been following you for a long time and everything in your videos has always been spectacular. The sessions are great, the quality is fantastic... this channel is absolutely brilliant and you helped me a lot with the majority of my curiosities about scuba diving, thank you so much. Anyway, I would like to make a suggestion (if it's not a problem): I'm convinced that you can add a really funny video on your channel to show us some of the funniest things happened while scuba diving or even during other water activities, something like a "oops and bloopers" compilation. For example, you could gather all of the times where you or your friends get "caught" on video while peeing in the water. Once, my uncle peed in his wetsuit on his surfboard while he was waiting for a wave and that was hilarious, he always tells me there are 2 types of surfers, divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water and those who lie, you can also include those moments in the future videos just to keep having a bit of humor on your channel, you can use both old and new clips, what do you think? I know it sounds weird, but, for me, it's the funniest thing about divers and swimmers. When a diver pees in the water or in his wetsuit, I think he demonstrates to be someone who is not afraid of consequences or to be judged. I think it's something that can come out great! I'd be so so happy to watch it, let me know, have a great day!
I really appreciate your kind words, but this channel is all about wildlife and the fantastic encounters you can have while diving. I see us humans as silent witnesses for the beautiful things happening under water. Therefore I will not do the kind of video you suggested, sorry. Best wishes
Hi Jonathan, great work. When did you go, which season? And where did you had these stunning close encounters with hammerheads and silvertips? Thanks for your replies
Hi Marcel, thanks for your compliment! We did our trip from the 25.02. until the 05.03.19. But I think any time is good for socorro. Really depends on what you want to see (whaleshark-season, baitball-season) and pure luck :D Only the mantas are guarenteed on almost every dive I would say. On our trip really "The Canyon" at San Benedicto was mindblowing. Hammerheads and silvertips were always there and quiet close aswell (also Silkys, Mantas and Dolphins).Feel free to ask more questions! Best wishes Jonathan
@@JonathanTschirch Hi Jonathan and thanks. Would like to go Socorro in future and would like to be there in the best shark season. Many say it´s around May, also regarding baitball chances. Canyon really looks amazing. It´s a cleaning station I suppose. Good to know that there is more than Roca Partida.
@@SteuerM Definitly there is more than Roca Partida. For us Roca was good but not as good as expected. Only a few sharks and some mantas. Really "The Canyon" was the best, followed by "El Boiler" and "Cabo Pearce" (both at Socorro Island). Also the silky snorkel at night was stunning. May sounds good to me. We also considered that time but than preferred the humpback whale season. Sadly we were not allowed to snorkel with them anymore due to restrictions...If we knew that before we might have chosen a different month (like May).
Your video is excellent - well edited, nicely colour graded and the drone shots and music works perfectly - well done. We were at Fuvamulah at similar time. My video is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lh8y7YZlyzE.html
Thanks a lot! One day - after the coronacrisis - I will also try to go on a trip onboard the Emperor Leo....Looks very promising and worth going based on your footage!
Hé Jonathan, great footage! Money shot at 2:30.. I use a go pro 6 as well for diving. What settings do you use? Resolution, framerate and normal/wide/superwide? I see you use light, how much light and how many? Thanks in advance for the info! Keep recording, your work is awesome!
Thank you so much! I film in 1080p with a framerate of 60fps. Normally I use the wide angle and sometimes even the normal one so that the objects didnt seem so far away. Funnily enough I didnt use any light, in the shots were you see light there is a diver next to me who uses his lights :) Best wishes! Jonathan
nice quality with the gopro! i will be there next month with a gopro 3+ black, can you tell me what settings u had it on? 1080 60fps? 1440 30fps? thanks in advance
every shot was filmed in 1080p 60fps :) but the most important thing is the red dive filter. hope you have a great time and all the best for your upcomming trip! :D
Thanks! My standard settings for the GoPro 6 are 1080p, 60 fps, Protune: on and EV compensation between -1.0 - 0 (depends on the irradiation) :) I didnt use any extra lights. Only a red dive filter for colour correction.
