I just completed the Mahjarrat Memories miniquest for the first time and was slammed with all the lore of this video and the next. You did a fantastic job putting it all together!
The god with the Elder Horn that invaded the world of the horrors, died there while challenging a Gorilla to a drinking contest. I'm not making this up. Monkeys where the lesser beings on the world of the horrors and the goddes Marimbo acended to godhood with the Elder Horn.
I'd reckon that a piece of Zaros may be located in Asposandra or Pallingrad. Possibly it would be a piece that compells or motivates races into seeking control over masses
Thank you for making this. I also recently rolled through this very annoying quest again, and chalked up my experience of unfamiliarity straight to mandela effect. Good to hear it wasnt.
"I'm just bored, and that ridiculous talking dog took away my toys" OMG that line delivery was PERFECT! Sliske is one of my favorite characters, and I love how he was voiced here Pax tecum
The dark altar is probably a remnant of Zaros' physical body which isn't a stretch since Seren was able to break herself into crystal fragments plus it would explain why Zamorak was so interested in stealing it when it resided on Karamja during the God Wars. Zaros possesses an innate ability to bend beings to his will merely by them being in his presence, so what if King Shayzien VII became obsessed with the dark altar precisely because it is Zaros exerting his influence? Also, I definitely agree the monolith in the Perilous Moons dungeon is the Codex since I'd like to believe the Nagua aren't just coincidentally related to the ancient elements (Blood moon = blood, Blue Moon = ice, Eclipse moon = shadow, Sulfur Nagua = Smoke)...
Surely all God's come from the same source, so whilst it may be true that Zaros, is closer to the source in terms of his expression of it, all other gods have that same soul, it is more likely then that Zamorak killed that which cannot be killed, and Zaros knowing this understood that he truly did die, and returned to what he was, so he must then conclude that he is technically a reincarnation... in the most technically accurate use of the word in communication with other beings that communicate... Lol He got Boethiahed.
@@Avrah Zaros for zero, aka darkness It's hard to say exactly whether the source is zero, one or something in between, but Void knights represent both and worship Guthix god of balance, and the god of Runescape. If you look at void knight gear you can see their sigil is black white and grey. But I do think that representing your divinity as zero has a tendency to take power from others, something about representing your consciousness as zero, source makes you the only one (not sure where I heard that part in regard to Zaros but I have). It's the whole, "why is there something rather than nothing?" Debate. If you know anything about biology you would know that Organisms sit on a thin line between life and death, that it is the intermingling of the two that produces so much complexity. That is why the druids worship Guthix.
I like this interpretation! I never thought of Kardia that way. Once I came around to that view, it was also pretty interesting to look at the cavern you find her house in. Long, thin pathways that lead nowhere and everywhere, interconnected, with new pathways that create detours around damaged ones... kind of feels like a nervous system or veins, all leading back to her residence.
I think this was mislabeled.. You seem to have forgot about.... The Mysterious Man. I get what you were tryna do, but the title is taken!! Perhaps, the words you were looking for was... "He who shall not be named" lmao
If you wanna go even further the Arceuus spell book specifically the spell corruption has ties to Zaros through the Secrets of the North quest. Phantom Muspahs magic attack applies corruption and the Muspah is from Jhallan who was dreaming inside the Ghorrock dungeon and had a nightmare transforming into the Muspah.
I'm not certain if Lucien ever ascended or did he just become a stronger Mahjarrat. Zamorak needed to siphon power from a Tier god 2 like Zaros. If Lucien did become a god and still got killed by Dragonkin, that would make the Dragonkin powerful enough to overwhelm gods who rank from Tier 7 to maybe Tier 5. Overall, I love the video but thought I would add to thag point.
well i think he just siphoned a bunch of energy from the ritual with both the staff and the stone? so he yoinked a ton of energy from all the mahjarrat? and actually i think its pretty canon that the dragonkin are up there in terms of power. and they are more powerful when the stone is used. they have a link with the stone that makes them go super saiyan when the stone is used due to the curse of jas. as to if he's "actually" a god idk. he seems to think he's a god lol because if you attack him in ROTM he says "you dare attack a god". for whatever that's worth lol.
Assuming dungeoneering never makes it into osrs I’d assume xeric was just bilrach in disguise, it would explain his absence despite being a part of osrs lore, and the similarity of both him and xeric building armies in giant underground dungeons.
@@Avrah They added the new zombie pirate ship exactly where Daemonheim is in the main game, and seeing how conservative the osrs playerbase is for content post 2008, I doubt it'll make a feature.
Can you do a video connecting the deciples of Yama and how it relates? I mean zaros was the God over the demons at one point so there could be something there too.
