In 2024, The End Of Cartoon Network

My childhood. I was 7 to 9 yrs of age when I first watch cartoon network. My favorites were ofc tom.and jerry/kids,poppye, wacky racers, bugs bunny, and courage the cowardly dog

And that was how a legend was born.

I’m glad that sometime around the mid 90s, Cartoon Network started making their own original shows. I don’t think they would’ve survived long with just old toons.

Truth Bomb: CN started as a dumping ground for Ted Turner to monetize his back catalog of Cartoons for cheap. For years they didn't give a crap beyond easy money with the stuff they owned or licensing inexpensive stuff. It wasn't until Fred Siebert of Federator Studio got "What A Cartoon!" onto the Network that leadership changed to actually want to develop originals and give independent animators a shot at getting their shows made.
