It really says how much all 3 of them have been through. Tobey/Peter lost his uncle and his best friend. Andrew/Peter lost his uncle and his girlfriend. And Tom/Peter lost his aunt and was forgotten about from everyone. He’s suffered the most.
0:26 Thomas Haden Church as Sandman, 0:37 Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, 1:34 Chris Evans as Captain América, 1:51 Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, 2:05 Tom Holland as Spiderman Peter 3, 2:16 Andrew Garfield as The amazing Spiderman Peter 2, and 2:27 Tobey Maguire as Spiderman Peter 1
You know when he tells Peter 1 about Gwen, that's Andrew genuinely reliving all the memories of Emma and of losing her, the heartbreak in the words "I'm never gonna be able to forgive myself for that.." sound so real and so raw and gutted....
I did a review of Bones and All and Call Me By Your Name (not stating as self promo, more to short cut info lol) - and I have a bit of a break down of scene composition/themes! I know it’s been over a year since this review, but I see so few Bones and All reviews, I just would love to share. Luca Guadagnino’s films really suck me in, and I love how they are made. I can definitely see how they seem boring or meandering to some people, though lol Maybe it’s just cause that’s how I think idk lol I also think it is interesting that you said the movie creates its own world for the cannibals because I thought it kinda fit well into our current world. They are on the run all the time and hiding to not get caught. The film is also metaphorical for anyone who feels othered. I’ve heard mostly drug addiction, but I can also see ties to being gay and Timmy had said childhood trauma.
Give me The Amazing Spider-Man 3 right now. I want to Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man fight an alien and have a chance at love again. Maybe Mary Jane Watson. Or the Black Cat 🐈⬛ like they teased in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Because Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man told him to not give up on his love life. Maybe just maybe. He developes organic web shooters. References Tobey Maguire when he does.
Here's what i think if Marvel was owned by Paramount Brief explanation: Sony, Fox, and Universal wouldn't have a hard time working with Marvel and The Amazing Spider-Man would have been the MCU Spider-Man. Marvel movies in the MCU would have gotten a more darker and serious tone like DCEU but better. Structure Phase 1: Iron Man (2008 Paramount) The Incredible Hulk (2008 Universal) Wolverine: Weapon X (2009 20th Century Fox) Iron Man 2 (2010 Paramount) X-Men: First Class (2010 20th Century Fox) Thor (2011 Paramount) Captain America: The First Avenger (2011 Paramount) Fantastic Four (2012 20th Century Fox) The Avengers (2012 Paramount) The Amazing Spider-Man (2012 Sony/Columbia) Phase 2: Iron Man 3 (2013 Paramount) X-Men: Mutant Massacre (2013 20th Century Fox) Thor: The Dark World (2013 Paramount) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014 Paramount) Guardians of the Galaxy (2014 Paramount) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014 Sony/Columbia) Fantastic Four: Doom (2014 20th Century Fox) Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015 Paramount) Ant-Man (2015 Paramount) Wolverine: The Silver Samurai (2015 20th Century Fox) Phase 3: Deadpool (2016 20th Century Fox) Captain America: Civil War (2016 Paramount) Doctor Strange (2016 Paramount) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017 Paramount) The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (2017 Paramount) Planet Hulk (2017 Universal) Thor: Ragnarok (2017 Paramount) Black Panther (2018 Paramount Fantastic Four: Negative Zone (2018 20th Century Fox) Avengers: Infinity War (2018 Paramount) Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018 Paramount) Captain Marvel: Kree-Skrull War (2019 Paramount) X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019 20th Century Fox) Avengers: Endgame (2019 Paramount) The Amazing Spider-Man 4 (2019 Sony/Columbia)
I think this what people would want. Disney has been doing so poorly with their movies lately. So, Once the lose rights to Marvel, Paramount should immediately just take it and put it on a whole new level. But of course, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men can keep their rights with Sony and 20th Century Studios respectively.
Even though this is all fictional, it hits hard to the real world. I try to help others get through there hard times, especially on social media, yet sometimes it just too much. But I never give up on trying. (Prop doesn’t make sense but I thought I just put it out there)
If the MCU was under Paramount, I think one of the many things they possibly would have done is have Black Widow be in Phase 3 instead of either Captain Marvel or Spiderman: Far From Home.
I want to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3. See him finally fight an alien. Not just a Russian guy in a Rhino 🦏 machine. LOL. Also they teased Black Cat 🐈⬛ in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Maybe she can give him someone to fall in love with again. Because Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man told him to not give up. Because him and his MJ made it work. Even though it took a while. Plus I really want to see Felicia Hardy in a live action Spider-Man movie. Because I love her character. Especially in the show The Spectacular Spider-Man. She keeps Spidey on his toes. Much like Catwoman does with Batman. If not her. Then maybe his version of Mary Jane Watson. Because if I'm being honest. The MJ in the Tobey Maguire movies was to me a 2 timer cry baby. If they said that they will make The Amazing Spider-Man 3. I will go to see it no questions asked. Just like I will if they made Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4. Because to me. Marvel movies really need to go back to the roots. They have forgotten how to make a great movie. They are so focused on this Cinematic Universe and trying to connect everything. They have lost their touch. After Avengers Endgame. Aside from Spider-Man No Way Home. So that's why I hope we either get Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3 or Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4.
After F9 I was not excited for Fast X. That said, I really enjoyed this movie. Felt more like the days of Furious 7 and the action was over the top in a way that I have enjoyed in the past with the franchise. Jason Momoa stole the show. Great review, man 👍
