Hello! My name is Nora and I have been crocheting for more than 40 years for friends and family and I have set up this channel to teach what I have learnt over the years. My channel offers crochet tutorials on basic stitches to creating projects and If you would love to learn then you have come to the right place! My tutorials will be mainly for stitch patterns and small items that I love to make and I offer simple ideas and no fuss crochet where beginners, intermediates and skilled can all join in.
I thank you in advance for watching and subscribing and for all the lovely comments. Your support, thanks and Super Thanks are appreciated.
Hi ! for 0-3 months use same hook 3.5mm. Follow the same pattern and the width of the hat should be between 14-15 inch Hat height from the crown should be 6.5 inches
Really pretty. I remember hearing the name but never thought I’d be able to do it. Your tutorials are absolutely amazing!! Thank you. I love it when you show us which space or stitch is correct. “Not this one”. You have such a pleasant voice. Definitely delightful! Be blessed - be safe!
It is gorgeous!! Thank you again. I can’t keep up with you daily I have a farm with animals. But winter is coming my crochet time and will catch up. You inspire me to try patterns I wouldn’t have before you and your fantastic tutorials. Many thanks.
How can I make a 6 moth old baby hat with this pattern? I’m new at this crochet thing. I’m a new grandma, so I would love to make this for my granddaughter. Can you please help me out?
@@nancygraham2087 hi! I’m not sure actually I’ll see if I can figure it out for you. However I do have baby hat tutorials in other patterns if you are interested x
@nancygraham2087. I loved this patern so will crochet one. I'll be making one rectangular depending on the width and height and then fold the ends and sew them up. The top of the hat will be gathered and the hole sewed up too with a pompom on the top. I hope this will be helpful too.
@@ivydcunha9268 Hmmm, interesting. Wouldn’t it bunch too much at the top? I don’t know much about crocheting, but I believe that’s why you have increases and decrease, so everything will be for to the shape of the baby’s head? Will you make a video? I just love that pattern, it’s beautiful!
@nancygraham2087 No, Nancy. I always do this way as I find it easier than increases n decreases . I've crocheted for year old grandson as well as adults and it fits them perfectly. Do give it a try. Happy crocheting 😊
Love going back and catching your videos since I’ve only been following you for about a month. Love that you have a sample to show us. There was a pattern I was watching with no talking/explaining. I’m a comment the person complained. I shared your link with them in the comments section.😮
Love your creative mind!! I love that you talk us thru the pattern, what you are doing & why you are doing it. Your reminders are great - like I was sitting right there with you. Wishing you all is well. Blessings.
Beautiful - my next project. I love how you show us the details of the pattern and explain those details again as you are crocheting - great teaching. You involve us. The position of the camera is perfect for me. You are so good at showing us the stitches not just telling us. It’s like you are sitting there with us. I’m having trouble making nice puffs in my headbands. Thank you - be blessed & safe.
I enjoyed doing this one. I belong to a group of people who make comfort blankets for the elderly, I make squares approx 8x8in using your patterns, rather than ordinary granny squares.
It would be helpful if you were slower and clearer with instructions, too fast and not easy to see what you are stitching. I have to rewind and rewind each new turn and group of stickers trying to see what u are saying. Very frustrating…
Beautiful - as usual. Will definitely make up a swatch. I use my swatches for washcloths I donate. I’ve been making headbands - love that pattern. Be blessed.
Hi it’s both loops! The half double crochet row that we do first always looks like the from behind. Also I will mention if it is back loops I’m working in specifically. 😊
Nora! Just found out our baby coming is a boy! Using this beautiful pattern for the blanket ❤ Every time I use one of your patterns, I'm sending the special thanks! Cheers!
I used this stitch with a bulky 6 rainbow yarn that I've been holding on to for a couple years to make a blanket. I couldn't come up with what stitch to use. I don't use thicker yarn often and I wanted it to have a interesting texture butevery thing I tried was way too dense. This stitch turned out to be just what I was looking for. Gives a nice bubbly texture and appearance and the blanket still has a nice drape even with how thick it is
☀️another beautiful pattern - thank you. I’ve been working with your beautiful headband pattern. I’ve never done puffs. I need more practice but am comfortable with pattern & your awesome tutorial. I’ve done three - different yarns/hooks ❤ the pattern. Will do more & donate. Be blessed & safe.
This is beautiful & great for a baby blanket. But I don’t like the holes in the corners, maybe because I usually use a 4 weight yarn? I’d like to learn to do this back & forth, wondering how many chains to start with & I assume a chain one at the ends to turn? And end & begin with a single crochet? I love the look of this stitch & your border is 😍😍🙏🏼
Hi you start with chain 2 and do your first round entirely in that first chain. You finish every round with a chain 1 and slip stitch, FLIP your work and ,NO chain 1. Start every row with a single crochet. The holes could be the 4 yarn, maybe drop half a hook size? ❤️
@@CrochetByNora Yeah I think maybe a lot of my problem with holes in the corners is that I need to drop to a #3 DK weight. Thanx so much Nora for all your help, you are such a sweetheart❣️
@@CrochetByNora Can this stitch be done on a long chain & going back & forth flipping our work? Unfortunately I have so much #4 yarn that I’d love to use for a blanket with this stitch but when I try to drop a hook size to do it in the round then it’s too tight & no drape.
I’m binge watching your tutorials this morning & am LOVING so many of your tutorials… unfortunately now I have a dilemma… I can’t decide which one of your stitches I want to use for my scarf & afghan & washcloths, etc…😂 Thanx so much & have a blessed day❣️
I love this pattern❣️ Thank you so much for teaching this. I am about ready to make a scarf for myself for this winter & I think I may use this pattern. 🙋🏻♀️🦋🙏🏼🫶🏻
I love this pattern & how you created it with the single crochet behind/between the two DC together. I’ve seen other people with similar designs but theirs has holes between their stitches & you know how I hate holey blankets…😂
These are GORGEOUS Nora 😍 I wish I knew how to make them bigger? I love to make round, hexi, flower, & unique shaped cotton dishcloths & washcloths to gift for any occasion & especially with Christmas coming up. I see so many beautiful coasters that designers make on here but very few create unique dishcloths/washcloths. I wish everyone who designed a beautiful coaster would take one & continue a few more rounds & maybe add a pretty border so we who like to make unique dishcloths/washcloths would have more patterns to work with. We also crochet them for charities at times & we like to hope that a unique pretty washcloth/dishcloth can cheer them up for a bit. I wish I was younger & maybe I would be better at designing but every time I try it I end up with a mess…😂 Blessings Nora We appreciate you❣️
