Video 0.26 seems to suggest the stator core was also damaged. From the video it appears only the stator bars had been replaced. Was there any repair work done on the stator core? Video 3.59 indicates the root cause of the stator winding failure was due to three issues at the rotor. Please clarify how the issues at the rotor caused the failure on the stator winding. Thanks
hey Eddie, 15% of the core was replaced with fresh laminates. The three issues that is mentioned in the video was revealed after removal of the rotor. the root cause of the stator damage is due to the usage of different grade nut for jumper connections of the pole by the previous service provider who did an overhaul to this job few months prior to this failure. the nut dislodged at high Rpms and ricocheted between the stator and rotor and ruptured the core at few places and eventually damaging the coils.
