if the top speed its al we care 99.8% of all bikes are garbage.... The Vf1000 is a realy fun bike to drive...also never had a problem other than some eletric issue they are very realiable not like the all plastic modern ones...
By the way this is a VF1000F its the sportouring interceptor not the R so top speed 145mph japan 135 usa.almost same top speed...japan VF1000R goes 168 mph american 149mph. that why all ppl talk bulshit of the VF americans ruin it .... i dont even know if the 1984 kawasaki GPZ1000xr can reach 160 mph they where faster because the win the 0 to 60mph race...i dont have the luck of knowing the real word top speed of the 1984 GPZ1000xr i know the 1984 kawasaki gpz900r in real word 151-158 mph so its top speed 154.5... and ppl stay thing that gpz900 is faster than the VF1000R.....why always ppl forgot politics goverment limitation and publicity managment....the real perfomance is all there in the stock lap times in the real word...i know that the top speed of the 80's in production bikes was 171... an it was a yamaha...i will guess then that the japan VF1000R reaching 168mph stock is faster ot at least equal top speed as the Kawasaki gpz1000.Saludos de argentina the real word experience was that the GPZ was a little fas 0 to 60 and really similar 60 to 120 an faster 120 to 140 slower final speed i have got a VF1000F and a VF1000R and a GPZ900R and a GPZ1000xr.
At that time, cars over 750cc were not sold in Japan by gentleman's agreement, and even large motorcycles produced in Japan were imported from overseas.
Kein Rock´n Roll ist schon gut. Noch besser wäre gar keine Mucke, weil die 12er so saftig brüllt. Die Zeiten, wo Dicke Moppeds nur mit Rock gehen, sind nu mal rum ;) Wattn Glück.
