@@GreenEase thank you I tried doing a test ebb flow seed bay with just peat like you guys do. Was wondering if you had any problems with over saturation because I have to water mine every 48 hours. It was staying drenched but I've had good results after delaying the soaks on a timer
What are more responible alturnatives that keep the product well? There is a lot of waxed paper/carboard, cellophane, mycelium but I don't thinked either protect or keep the moisture the same. There is organic bio-plastics but I question the energy in manufacturing, then energy in transport on top of the potentual additives in it. Maybe the best moral solution is a combination of them or enabling poeple to either grow or access farmers markets with their own containers. Who's got ideas for distribution that avoids supermarkets and plastics?
@@GreenEase without diving right into it. There are plant based plastic clam shells. Or go for waxed naural cardboard box with a window and some eco ink. A cellophane linner/inner bag and paper sticker to seal it. But that's not very user friendly for repeated use. Fully compostable though and could set your products apart from another brand in dirty old plastic. Might be worth 50c more to a customer & then the increased turn over and brand awareness might off set the rest. Maybe promo runs of branded reauseable cliplock food containers that fits common product sizes to be utilized with future orders in eco packaging.
Can you use this system for heavier insulation for at night. We need more sun and heat not less. The plastic guide wire might need upgrade for the weight
I've had trouble with that brand of light, humidity making them arc I flicked the switch off and it kept going. They are wired to switch the negative. Bit dodgy, they work well and are good bang for buck. Wires are now flipped and all connectors siliconed. not a prob since.
Thanks for the tip! You’re right, they’re not the most robust light ever, but they’re simple and seem to last a really long time with a little maintenance.
I have no ideia of what these people understand as "food" and "nature", producing what they call as "food" in these factories. One sees no bug, no bird, no soil... Absolutely disgusting.
If you look closely, you'll see this is located on earth. The bugs, birds, and soil is just outside the walls. And if you thought more about it, you'd be thanking us because most use chemicals which kill all three of these things, we just use walls and hydroponics.
Thanks for the spreadsheet! Once the fertilizer is mixed, what does the process look like for adding it to the DWC reservoir? I’m wondering what dose of the nutrient mix is needed for a given volume of water. Ex: How would the fertilizer quantities be adapted for a smaller set up?
To scale down the recipe, change the number in the purple box. We don’t have an automatic fertilizer pump, so we just dump in a small amount from each barrel when the pond EC gets below the target.
It’s as simple as adding the mixed fertilizer to your water until the EC is where you want it. We use the Hanna EC and pH meter but there are cheaper ones out there that do a great job
For absolute optimum performance yes, but it's not as big of a thing as you may think. And since we are all in one system we don't have much of a choice anyways. We've never tried growing tomatoes with this low of an E.C., but I doubt a hungry Vine plant like that would do very good here.
greens don't need that high of EC about 0.8 - 1.2. if they had many fruiting plants that would require upwards of 2 and that's past lettuce's range and will get nutrient burn
Here is one of my videos on the topic! How to make a custom nutrient mix! (Hydroponics) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IvqN3mYr9w0.html

Wait, adults need this level of instruction and prompting to keep a tiny toilet tidy. But, maybe this is why my husband never managed to put a clean plastic bag in the bin. I didn’t label it!
I tried doing something like this at work for our inventory. didnt work unfortunately. and since we work with lots of medication and pharmacy ordering it turns my weekly inventory into a headache lol. but we have a pretty large team. hard to figure out who is causing an issue if you dont know who it is
What would we ever do if there wasnt a label at the bottom of the trash can? This isn't remotely healthy. Firstly, this has nothing to do with being green. You are literally wasting paper each time you decide to print another label, which let's be honest is only to satisfy your own need to control others. This is ridiculous and unstainable both environmentally, and mentally. Also, your kids will resent you and this is never going to be something that they do on their own when they get older.
Hi Raj! This is a place of business with the cleanest bathrooms in the state. It takes almost zero effort or time to maintain this level because we don’t waste time asking each other where cleaning items are! We all make improvements to make the next persons job easier
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanban this is probably a pretty complex article. But basically it’s just a card that sits somewhere in your stack of inventory that tells you when to re-order where to re-order and how much to order.
It's amazing just how much people don't care if it ain't their personal home. I work Overnight at Walmart, and the Maintenance crew cleans the bathroom almost first thing after the store closes, which means ONLY the employees are there from 11 to 6. It's amazing just how messed up the two bathrooms in the store will get, from just half a dozen guys (we have like 6-8 men vs about a dozen women) in a period of 7 hours. It's frankly disgusting when I walk in and find piss all over the seat because someone wants to treat the toilet like a urinal and is too lazy to lift the seat first, which is ridiculous because there's 2 perfectly good urinals in the same bathroom and I find it hard to believe that they're both in use every single night when someone needs to go. I will never understand why people are so disgusting and nasty when they aren't in their personal living space. The worst I do, is I drip water after washing my hands, knowing it will air dry just fine and won't create a mess.
Ya it’s so sad! Leaving it better than you found it is an easy thing to say but hard to practice. I make it a point to talk to the janitors because they make everyone’s life a lot better and hardly ever get thanked for it. Even at that I must admit I take clean bathrooms for granted sometimes
You can rig it to a flip switch and flip it on, then off when done. Just open the circuit and instead of the button make it a flip switch with 3 settings for forward reverse and off.
Thank you for your videos. Very interesting and informative. One question- How much is in retail? How much is your salads or one clamshell are sold for at the grocery stores?
@YouChube3 those are empty ones that are being transported to the back of the greenhouse to get baby lettuce transplanted into them so the cycle can start all over again. After those are harvested, it’s a real pain and a lot of labor to get them to the back to start the cycle over again, but this made it super easy!
