You absolutely should hire a home inspector, for both pre drywall and before closing. Its always good to have multiple sets of eyes on things. Our last home WASNT inspected and it turned out the builder never hooked up the dryer vent in the attic, so all the lint sat in the attic for a while before we noticed. Totally worth the $ for a licensed inspector
I'm not surprised by your comment. I'm guessing you had a bad experience building with Edge, is that correct? From my perspective, working with dozens of different builders in the state and from my clients experience, Edge has been one of the best to work with. I would love to hear your reasoning & why you feel so passionate regarding Edge so I can take it into consideration on future videos. Please share your story. Thank you.
While the vidoe is helpful. the rushing wind sound every 10 seconds is annoying as hell. Lose it and your video will be 100 times better. I almost clicked off. It was seizure inducel..I mean for the love of God enough.
Hope someone can help you. Best of luck. Maybe call some real estate brokerages in the area & try to hire a realtor with new home construction experience.
@@reggieomnifarious9898 I’m not sure if I understand your question, but if you are building a house on your own property, you still need to get city inspections.
I consider all suggestions & recommendations. And I sincerely appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I have a team who researches best titles & etc. Cheapest is more searchable. It just is what it is.
All over the USA, old landowners are laughing all the way to the bank at all the historic, useless floodland they sold off in the last 30 years to greedy developers!!!!
I'm sure that's true. I've seen it happen. However, we are not in a flood plain. We've lived in this home for 10 years with zero issues. It was honestly, the craziest storm I've ever seen.
Alarm tech here, we use an aerosol spray specifically designed to test smoke detectors, as just pressing the test button actually just checks if it’s got power and connection. Your hardware store should have this tester spray can. 🤘🏼😊
The word/term "The Cheapest" really should not be used. The more interchangeable term should be "The least expensive". Better for business and sounds better to the consumer. Just my opinion.
@@g8way2k1 yeah, I pretty much agree with you on that. But RU-vid feels differently. Cheapest is a lot more searchable. I prefer to say the best value or best price.
Prayers your property / house cleans up brother quickly after the flood. You kept a great attitude instead of going into the tank. That's the biggest reason we secured your services as a real-estate agent.........sincere, honest and great energy.
I think it's a great time to buy NHC. Builders a still feeling desperate or at least nervous & offering some pretty incredible incentives. But, if rates drop, it could change pretty fast, at least in most markets.
@@UrbanSipfly I can understand where you’re coming from. I have always been a bit of a loose canon. I often jump into things that… I probably shouldn’t. Lol.
@@TyWildeIn light of your very entertaining video, I've decided at my old age (60 years) to change my career path from Super UrbanSipfly man to a simple flood insurance agent!
Hey as a prospective customer, can you explain more why the top 2 recommended builders had a little weaker rating scores (it was 4.1 and like 3.8 right?) but you still recommend them? The rating metric was used a lot in this video and the builders in Utah to avoid so i was curious what made those 2 builders the top ones despite weaker scores. I get the part where you said they will customize, but what else makes them worth the top spot? I can't remember if you specifically talked about build quality it not
This is an excellent question. Thank you! I have worked with dozens of homebuilders in my 20+ years as a realtor, helping more than 600 clients through the Homebuilt process. These 2 stand out as companies who truly do their best to take care of the customer as I have witnessed personally as the buyers agent. If you looking to build anywhere in northern Utah, I’d be honored to serve you. Please let me know if you have any other questions. 👍🏼
So is the property behind you liable for the damages to your property? My understanding is each property is responsible to make sure water that falls on their lot doesn’t flow onto the neighbors. What would you have done differently when building your house to help prevent this?
