There is no mention of drain valves and when to close them in the procedure or video how to show getting water out of drain lines after closing valves would be helpful. Also my pump and filter sits a few feet below pool bottom. Also would you not want to move it out of backwash to winterize position after water is drained out of sand filter? Another video would be helpful showing a complete procedure of return valves and drain valves in the sequence.
I can't tell from the video, but do you tie in all wires from the lights and the wire that goes to the transformer together? So if there are 3 lights, you're connecting 8 wires into a single wire nut?
This vid is 6 years old, so you probably won't see my, "thank you..".. I just replaced the liner in my 18x36 pool all by myself and your vid gave me the confidence and tips I needed. Doing it myself saved me a little over 5 grand..! Thanks...!
I have a new pool (2.5 years) 2 out of my three Hayward lights are bad. One dead, one red only and dim. Shouldn’t they last longer? Could it be the controller? Are they 12volts? Thanks! Also where can I get the special tool?
It’s a Grecian style 14’x28’. I did some patching on it this year and I put the liner in but I’m gonna have to get the bottom refinished in a couple years.
What filter cartridge does this require? is it proprietary to Aqua Genie or compatible with Hayward or other brands? How does this compare to Hayward Swim Clear Filter?
Hubby built one like this. Pro grade actually. He got only one help from our handyman who remodelled our kitchen. Took them 3 weeks to finish which he said would've been done in a week or two with more men helping him...😂
We renovated a disaster of a pool when we moved into our house. Liner broken, bottom needed to be completely redone. I love the pictures we took of my kids holding huge bullfrogs we pulled out of the bottom. It's so exciting when it starts looking like a pool and the water starts going in!
