I have 20 year old blue gray ryobi batteries still going great..

Yes, they build them good back then. Some new batteries have been recalled due to fire risk. But regardless. In my opinion, and experience with the newer batteries, they just don't last.

Thanks for the straight up and honest information on your videos. My neighbor a few doors down had installed a solar system with battery for considerable $$$$$ last year. Since then they avoid using power in hope of recovering some of their money then recently their hopes were dashed when they changed the export tariff from 7.9c to 3.3c p/kWh recently.
@JustinCaseSolarPower
@JustinCaseSolarPower 3 дня назад
They need to stop selling to the grid and use it. Store it in a battery during the day and use it off at night. Install the ATS you see in the video. Affordable and works a treat. Best way to get your $ back now is to do what I showed in the video

I have no idea. I show what I am doing and how things I have tested work on my systems. Not only that, but I am off grid. I have no need or means to test that to see if it works or not. I would recommend you ask the person who installed the system.

Depends on what you're hooking up to it. If your lithium batteries allow 100amp, and you have 2 x then it's 2x 100amp, It's all up to you to work it out.

How have you found the Kings fridge ?
@JustinCaseSolarPower
@JustinCaseSolarPower 21 день назад
Rubbish. They do not work well camping in summer. The top gets Hot and will not keep food at the top cold. I had the cover on and did the sun test. It Failed oh so bad. If you want to use it in an air-conditioned home, it should be ok for a backup. I only use it as a load in videos now and try not to show the name. Next Time I will have to put a sign on it. World's worst camping fridge. Mind you, I think the King's drawer fridge already has the crown. That's just my opinion after testing the unit, anyway.

I still have some old gray Ryobi batteries and they're still working. Be interesting how long the newer type of batteries that I have will last. I bought the Makita line of power tools for work and they work great. I will have to get that adaptor and start buying the Makita batteries for the Ryobi's, and claim them on my tax as a work expense 😁 Bunnings is becoming like the old WA Salvage stores, selling cheap rubbish.

@JustinCaseSolarPower 23 дня назад
Yes, Like I say when I show a product, I am 100% honest. Always have been. This is an easy fix. It should be done during manufacturing process through. They are very light and power production is very good for a fold out panel. When you consider what they fold up to and how light they are. You think when they added the legs the designer would have said, wow these are light, how do we stop them from tipping over on a windy day.

Greetings Justin from Zimbabwe in Africa, hope you’re well. Is your Deye 1 phase or 2 phase and is it grid tied or not? Looking to get one & fiddle around installing the CT Clamp so I don’t backfeed power into the grid as I’m on a prepaid meter that doesn’t allow it.
@JustinCaseSolarPower
@JustinCaseSolarPower 24 дня назад
Here is a simple workaround. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--n81d4-R6Fw.html otherwise you need to use the ct, so the inverter knows you're on grid, and you can then program it properly not to feed past the ct. Or to feed power past the ct to grid. I am 230vac single phase 50Hz. I am off grid. But I have a main inverter I use as a pretend grid to show people how things work.
@tirivaenim

@@JustinCaseSolarPowerthanks kindly for responding. Is your other unit a 5kw size? If it is do you ever have loads above 3Kw? Reason I ask is so as to know if fans ever kick in. I’d want to run a 3Kw induction cooktop off my inverter.

Beware of counterfeit batteries! Most bought online are bogus! Wait for sales at the Big Box stores. All brands are likely affected, but the most popular brands moreso.

Fortunately for me, I only buy genuine batteries from the same shops I buy my tools from. They are just putting rubbish cheep cells in them and charge for a premium battery. News article "About 56,400 Ryobi rechargeable battery packs have been recalled due to reports that suggest they may overheat and possibly burst while on the charger, posing a risk of fires and a potential burn hazard for consumers." also read wgme.com/news/local/lithium-ion-batteries-house-fire-fryeburg-ryobi-home-depot-power-tools-laptops-cars-fryeburg

I chose Makita, as it is what the solar installer uses every day on and off the roof of people's homes. Installing on and off grid solar. I started replacing my Ryobi with them until I found out about this battery adaptor. Now I can use my Ryobi tools till they fall apart about 1.2years out of a Ryobi hammer drill. Already worn 2 of them out. 1 reciprocating saw and one jigsaw. And many Ryobi batteries as well. Enough is enough. They are just built for very light duty work about a home. Had Makita 240v tools most of my life. I hope the Makita battery power tools are just as well-made.

I have been considering one of those compact cloth folding panels as an alternative to the older solid frame folding panels for my caravan. I have heard with a lot of reviews with the cloth style panels, usually only get around 5 years of use before falling apart. Kinda not sure yet but probably worth a try for the space saving during storage. Be interesting how you go with the longevity of this panel?

Soon as the weather clears up, and we get some sunshine, I will do some testing on it. Yes, all canvas products eventually fall apart under the Australian sun.

That's ok Jack. It is also a very affordable computer ups. And in case you missed it. This is a paid video promotion. I was paid to test the unit and give an honest review of the product. I happen to really like the unit and will be doing more testing on it. They are sending me the fold out solar panels that plug into the unit to test next. That will be very interesting. Testing solar gear and storage devices is what I do, Jack. I also test these things for People like you. That are on grid. These are very affordable right now at under $1000.00au. Tell me of another device that stores this much energy. Comes with a very nice 1800W pure sine wave 50hz inverter a solar battery charger and a 230 / 240v lithium battery charger for that price ? Due to it having a very good and extremely fast UPS function, as demonstrated at the start of the fridge test. This is indeed an extremely nice bit of kit that can function in standalone power and home UPS.

I thought about getting these years ago but the old ones used to melt and catch fire. People were gluing them to the tops of their RV's.
