Here is a list of remaining major content in the game and some notes on doing them, as well as a basic estimate for the time they will require. I will be happy to clarify or give more details on any point. The Northern Ruins Marle and Frog’s ultimate weapons About 20 minutes Kill all the monsters in the ruins Tell the carpenters Walk everywhere in the ruins Tell the carpenters Repeat until they tell you they are done At the sealed chests at the end, interact with but do not open it in the middle ages, then open it in the present Take frog to the obvious spot in the ruins The Rainbow Shell Crono’s ultimate weapon, ultimate accessory, ultimate armor 45-60 minutes Go to the cave on an island in the middle ages Clear the dungeon, find the shell Go to Guardia Castle in the present Clear the event there Visit the rainbow shell The Factory Robo’s ultimate weapon and a stat boost for them 30-60 minutes depending on how well chat can advise. It is a confusing sequence to learn without help Go to an island in the future with a factory on it Clear the dungeon Ozzie’s Keep Magus’s ultimate and some decent but not great one of a kind gear 20-30 minutes Go to an island in the middle ages with a dark forest and a yellow building on it Enter the dungeon In the three boss fight at the end, Ayla can use Charm to steal a piece of unique gear from each boss. None are necessary, but it can be fun to do if you feel in control of the fight Magus’s ultimate gear is hidden in the room with a guillotine blade in it. Walk along the walls to find a hidden room Medina village in the present will be quite different after this The Forest Restored A very powerful accessory, but more importantly, a narrative scene that is absolutely worth watching, and may be more meaningful to a Chrono Cross player 30 minutes Go to the sunken desert in the middle ages Clear the dungeon. The boss is horrible but there is a trick: Hit the boss with water or ice. This will lower its defense. If the core is alive, the defense will stay lowered. If the core dies, the boss’s defense will reset every time you hit it, meaning you have to go ice/water, attack, ice/water, attack, and so on After doing the dungeon, talk to Fiona in her house with Robo in the party Go to the present to pick up Robo LARA. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THE PASSWORD IS LARA. LARA. Ayla does not have a side quest. The only knew things in 65,000,000 BC are the Ruby Armor trade and a Nu in the Laruba Village ruins that can change your name. There are two more areas you can access currently that are present in the steam version but not the original. These two are the Lost Sanctum, which is accessed by green portals on the map in roughly the same areas in both 65,000,000 BC and the Middle Ages. These portals lead to the timeline where Lavos never came and the Reptites became the dominant species, eventually leading to the creation of Dinopolis and the Dragon Gods that featured in Chrono Cross. This entire sequence involves massive amounts of backtracking and fighting and is very tedious. It takes between and two and four hours to do it all, though it does reward gear even stronger than the end game quests. Reaching lavos can be done in multiple ways. The bucket at the end of time leads to Lavos Phase 1. The epoch cataclysm leads to Lavos Phase 2 and gives a very slightly different ending, but not so different as to be worth doing in addition to other options. The Black Omen is a long dungeon with multiple bosses taking maybe as much as 90 minutes to beat, and dropping you directly into Lavos Phase 1. Defeating Lavos Phase 1 by any path except the epoch will give you a save point and a chance to go back before Lavos Phase 2. There are also some hidden triple techs that can be done by having three specific party members with one of them wearing a specific accessory. If you have any interest in those, I can provide that information as well. Lastly, the steam version has a final superboss that can only be accessed by clearing 3 super dungeons called Dimensional Vortex which appear after loading a save in which you have beaten lavos, or in new game +. Each of these can take an hour. If you do not have an interest in those, I would recommend that you at least look up a video of it. It is Chrono Cross relevant.

Thanks for the stream, Yura. As with any good old RPG, the difficulty of a dungeon maybe just right or a beat down waiting to happen, but you don't back down once you commit to either. And seems like I haven't really learned my lesson about the potential back seating as of yet 😓
