Since the poster didn't add the ending. The parents told their mom/mil-grandma that the child was allergic to coconut. The mom/mil-grandma didn't believe them, and put coconut oil in the child's hair. The child passed away from severe allergic reaction. If remembering correctly the mom/mil-grandma was charged with murder.
I remember most how years later the grandma is begging (again) for forgiveness and I think she asks what she has to do. The mom says the only thing she could do was bring her daughter back to life. She would have been better off just saying she didn’t have insurance or saying “I thought I did, I can’t find my card. I will get it figured out asap”. Yes they would have written her a ticket for driving without insurance & probably would have towed her car (impounded it) but paying $1,000 to get insurance, car out of impound & the ticket for the sign would have been a lot cheaper. As long as she got insurance before her court date, the Judge most likely would have dropped the charge for driving without insurance since she had insurance before the court date. It was the fake insurance card that screwed her over, idiot.
Idk depending on the region that could be possible. I live in a relatively cheap region and getting caught driving a car with an expired tag and license is grounds enough to get you arrested. To say nothing of the fines.
