I sent the text about the guy asking about Matewan, Tony butchered it badly by adding words that weren’t there. This is how it should have read. The man didn’t say he lived in West Virginia. Hey 3 guys. My wife and I were at North Myrtle this past weekend and a gentleman approached me at a restaurant wanting to ask about my truck because he was considering buying one like it. It came up in conversation that we lived in WV. He asked how far from Matewan because he had "onced" married a woman from there. Always a WV connection...
On the ducking Bama deal, I think we gotta play those games, how can WVU expect donors to donate enough money to get quality players if they run from quality opponents

The guy in the middle made a statement about a player making a play on defense, how he was not going to get beat. I can agree he made that play on that next to last drive! Yes he did, but that was about the only play he made during the game! Should he be starting just because he is a senior? That’s a question to be answered.
When I heard that coach Leslie went up in the booth for this game I figured he feared for his life after the Pitt game? I figured he was threaded by fans?
@pnut if you have espn+ you could had watched the rest of the game on your laptop, iPad, phone, or pc by live streaming. I was in the same boat as you but I have espn+ and got on my iPad and searched and began watching .
OK, now that I know that we aren't going to meet the expectations I had at the beginning of the year, I can sit back and enjoy (or not) whatever happens with no expectations. Go Mountaineers!
2-2 and there are way to many problems with both sides of the ball. I see us going 2-3 in the next 5 games and the end of the year a tough one. Were due we go from here? It's been 6 years and the same issues still arise today as it did in the beginning 6 years ago???
I've noticed that our Troy-style pee wee football isn't working in the Big 12. Maybe in a couple of years, who knows? In the meantime, I hope we can get an even smaller QB next year, along with small WRs and a plus-size RB who can't change direction quickly. Our O-line and D-line are good, but our LBs are good but slow and are being sucked up into the line of scrimmage, which prevents them from sliding to the ball carrier. Our DBs need to do something, even if it's wrong, because playing in between is killing us.
After they started putting the games on ESPN plus that aren't on the main channels I did away with the ESPN U package on my cable because none of my teams ever played on them anymore... Soooo, you guessed it, yesterday I was scrambling trying to find a place to watch the rest of the game after the stoppage, and then it hit me, I could just listen to Tony and the gang on the radio call, and to be honest, I loved it!! When WVU got the go ahead TD, he and I both went crazy!!! Yeah, I went back and watched what I missed later on, but I love the passion that Tony has when calling the game! I wish I could sync up the two broadcasts, but I'm not very good at that stuff.. lol!! I was worried when our players were dropping left and right, but from what I understand most if not all are okay, and hopefully will be back soon if they didn't return already! GREAT WIN FELLAS!! I've been hearing this phrase concerning WVU football for 2 YEARS + now , and I can almost guarantee it will come to fruition this Saturday! We have become every teams' (and individual QB's in general)............ "get right game". KU will find a way to make WVU their get right game. Daniels will combine for 350 (passing/rushing/scrambling).
HA!!! I have also blamed the matte helmet for the downfall!! 🤣 All of our greatest memories are with the shiney ones, well, except for the game against Texas with Will's 2 pt conversion to win... And maybe a few more I may be forgetting, but for the most part it's been the glossy helmets! I thought I was the only one who made that connection... As crazy as it may be.. 🤣🤣🤣
Brad, can you assess what the third downplay proceeding each fourth down attempt accomplished? Being forced to attempt fourth downs due to awful third down execution .

At some point you have to recognize your team isn’t executing their blocks and put it in the air. He didn’t do that because he didn’t trust Garret. Garret hadn’t played well. I get it out. But you can’t go into a shell. Here’s one - why hasn’t Justin Robinson been playing more ? Same with Bray ? We brought them in for a reason, and Ray and Clement have not taken the steps forward we thought
They needed to run CJ more North South. That was more effective than him running East West. The last two drives the defense seemed to go to prevent, leaving the field open for the QB to run in.
I’ve been saying for 30+ years. We know how to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. I’ve been hoping for 6-7 wins this season. Get to and win a bowl game. The next few games will determine who in the coaching staff stays. 5 and 7 or worse. Whole new staff.
I'm not upset about losing to PSU but how we played. There is no excuse for Pitt loss. Even with bad calls, being up by 10 with under 5 minutes and losing can't happen. Breakdowns on defense, poor play calling, no real passing game. Very disappointed. No reason WVU can't get back to golden days of say 2005 to 2012. Wasn't playing for national championship but winning 10-11 games should be possible on a consistent basis or at least that is the expectation. I'd be happy winning 9 games as long as we didn't blow games like we seem to do.
You don't run CJ lateral motion on that first down run needing to move the chains once or twice. Speed is not his forte, power is. Utilize his strength and roll the dice with a north/south run play. That is on play calling and Neal Brown.
