i believe the sounds are familiar to japanese speakers. the rolling r ... and perhaps literal pronounciation of letters comes easier to them , than i.e. anglosaxons who learn their entire life that letters have no meaning.
It's always heartwarming to see people trying to learn suomi. Once you get past the differences to the language you're used to you'll find it's relatively simple. And most importantly, we don't fuck around with spelling. We write shit as it sounds!
@TheLemonGrenade Sanscrit is an indo-european language, related distantly to greek and latin etc. Closer to them than to Finnish. Though Finnish has been in contact with some language linked to sancrit (got some words from there), when the speakers lived near volga, probably
@nfagerho It's because there's a difference of source Suomi and Possibly asian langauges evolved from a more sandscrit origin, as opposed to the latin origins of all the nations conquered by the roman empire
