I started fishing with my Grandfather when I was about 4 years old. I was hooked from day one.
I have owned numerous boats and now have a 20' Wilson Flyer. My fishing passions in the UK are Bass, Pollack and Conger. I have travelled extensively to fish but the greatest place on the planet has to be the Gulf of Carpentaria at the top end of Australia which I have visited 7 times.

Do you have to pay to launch and recover what speed are you trolling ben

We are expected to tip the boatman at least £10 . Only club members can launch, either their own boat or one of many club boats that we have. Trolling speed depends on the tide and if trolling against it or with it. Against the tide around 2.5 to 3knts with the tide around 3.5 to 4knts

Generally I go a bit faster when going with the tide. So about 4 - 4.5knts with the tide and around 2.5 - 3knts against the tide

I think, if there was a ban on recreational anglers taking pollack, that the MMO would of said something when they boarded me and checked the catch.

beach keels comprised of 4 x 40mm x 10mm oak, glued using west system adhesives, plus 5 mm stainless steel per keel. No damage to gel coat yet. They have been on about 6 years and I have only ever popped four of the screws that hold the stainless on

Just uploaded a better one for you to watch. Tide was much lower so I did not have to worry about the bank of shingle on the high water line.
