I have learned so much from this video. Just got my long arm a few weeks ago, and can't get in class since September. I don't know who Valerie is at this point Coma coma but , Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
I’m so glad my video was helpful. Valerie at VG quilting on Facebook has some excellent videos. Someone told her that I was stealing her ideas so I wanted to make it abundantly clear in my videos which ideas I got from Valerie, and that the rest of the information I provide is not from her, but I’ve been banned from her group! However, I still highly recommend her to other people. False accusations are hurtful!
Thank you, so glad I saw your tip before I started sewing the points.. I know I would have had trouble, this is the 1st time I'm doing prairie points. Now I feel like I can do many more and looking forward to looking at fabric with a whole new vision.
I’m so sorry, but I honestly don’t remember. If you do a Google search for large quilt clips I think there are a couple of shops that sell them. I know I found them online. There are two different sizes, depending on the size of your frame. I have a large frame so I had to get the large quilt clip so make sure you know what size frame you have.
This video was very helpful...everything you did and had to redo really made this an excellent learning video! Please make more videos, I learned so much!
Thank you. I’m so glad this was helpful. I still work full-time so I only quilt on the weekends, but I try to share videos when I’m doing things that I think might help other people so check back from time to time and I should have a new content posted.
Hi I am newby to Qmatic and struggled to get an important quilt completed for a relay for life event this Saturday🙃But thanks to your timely video it’s finished. Your video was easy to follow and was so helpful in understanding the steps of the process. Many many thanks!!♥️
Well, here I am again! Just letting you know I have just completed my Point of View table topper. I took your advise on sewing the p.points as I go, which worked a dream. Thank you.
Thank you for your tips on this. I just purchased this pattern and so love the design. I’ve made several of the trivets and I agree. It works so nicely to sew as you go. ❤
Thank you! I just got my Q24 a few weeks ago. I love it so much but converting from "drag and drop" on my prior machine to this was very challenging. Your instruction step by step was perfect. I did one today and mostly got it right but there is some benefit to choosing the size of the pattern to not max out in the safe area so that there is enough room at the top to realign. In my mission to maximize, I overlooked that. I think it will also be challenging to realign with a very wavy pattern. I'm predicting that I'll only be able to advance about 1/2 way instead of a full "safe space" distance. Thank you again! Practice practice practice!
I love my Q24. I've had it 7 weeks. You are right - it is far superior to my other longarm. I just need to figure out how to replicate drag and drop. Not at all obvious how to do that on the Bernina.
Hi, I have been watching your video on this Point of View Wreath, absolutely fabulous. As I live in England I can only try to work out the measurements and placings, but I think I have worked it out now! By making it out of paper first so as not to waste material, so..... If and when I manage to make it I will let you know. I have already made several Folded Star trivet pot holders and I am hooked on Prairie Points..... So once again thanks for the videos.
Thanks so much for the information! I’ve also been struggling to install my side tables and seeing the turn locks helped A LOT. I will be calling Customer Support for some help. 😊
Yes, I try to post content at least on the weekends as I work on project. Unfortunately, I still work full-time so my sewing is usually only on the weekends.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't do it for the entire quilt. All of the paper piecing was similar throughout the quilt. It was a little tricky sewing the curves, but not too difficult.
I just purchased this same setup. I appreciate your sharing and stepping us through your first project, it was comforting. It’s helpful to have tips on what to watch for and how to make corrections - like the tension. Thank you for pointing out how Minky is easier to manage on a longarm. I am both excited and overwhelmed. 🙌💖
@@sharabairenterprises8783 it seems to me when I was researching these to buy the pattern, etc. that I watched a video where the person sewed each layer at the top of the points around the whole circle. When I get around to making one of these the first will be my prototype, lol, I am going to try that rather than opening the points and sewing down in the center as you did.
Shara! Thank you Soooo much for this video! This is the best, most thorough showing and description of the DreamBox, Sew Sation, and the DreamCart! I especially appreciate that you showed indepth the piece that hold the tablet or phone, I asked customer service if it could be directed downward to show the table top itself (so I could record lives showing my work in real time, and they couldn't answer that question... Your showing it let's me know that I can in fact do that!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏🏽❤️🥰
