For those who may like Inclement Emerald, absolutely try Elite Redux, I believe it's based on it, but massively improved. It is by far the best hackrom to ever exist, especially if you are a fan of difficulty and strategy building as Pokemon have 4 abilities at once on it and almost every pokemon is viable now thanks to it. It even has Gen 9 mons and lots of new forms and megas. It honestly stands out over any other fangame massively even though I never even cared about Hoenn games too much.
If you’re looking for an emerald equivalent to radical red, then I highly suggest Emerald Crest. It has tons of the same features rr has along with a map randomizer mode along with other difficulties. The games been updated recently too.
One day, GS Chronicles will make it back on to the list for best rom hack. We are getting closer to the Kanto release, as well as more and more bugs and issues being ironed out.
One Id personally recommend is pokemon blazing emerald. It feels like if emerald got a major enhancement for modern players, and a fair amount of new fun content like regional forms which are all great, but it also doesnt trample on what made emerald so fun in the first place. I love the difficulty hacks like inclement emerald but I find that sometimes they can also get difficult in annoying ways rather than fun ways, blazing emerald I find can be challenging but Ive never found any annoyances with it. Its genuinely one of my favorite pokemon games period even amongst main series entries.
I'd recommend Crystal Clear, it's a hack that makes Crystal open-world. You have over 20 starters, and it's possible to actually transfer your Pokemon from CC to Stadium 2 and Bank, or so I've heard. It does have some issues with a bit too much grinding in the end game in my opinion, but otherwise it's really good Another one is Pokemon Kanto Expansion Pak, it adds in a bunch of beta Pokemon and the new evos for gen 1 mons (example is Annihilape). Also Wiglet is in the game alongside regional variants. There's also new content, and the game was meant to more so play like if RGB was given extra time in development. Also it's balanced pretty well, and has some good post game. I recommend playing KEP with documentation, but regardless it's really fun.
I’ve been working on the classic storm silver rom hack just for a refreshing take on HGSS with a better level curve and balancing, but you sold me on pokerogue emerald EX for my next playthrough!
Not a romhack, but if you're interested in playing a moderately difficult fangame with unique battle mechanics, I can't recommend Pokemon Reborn enough. The story does go over some dark themes and is in general not the best, but the gameplay, graphics and music are all top notch.
Reborn, Insurgence, and Rejuvenation are honestly my top 3 with Uranium being up there as well. Reborn, specifically while although the story isn't for everyone, the challenge it provides and the mechanics it introduces makes even replaying it very enjoyable. (The mods are also nice)
Reborn is the best Pokémon game that exists, including official ones, imo. I think the story stuff is overblown too, it’s good if you let yourself get into it.
I've been playing pokerouge classic mode, but for some reason on floor 104 it doesn't load the battle, i already tried to reload multiple times, do the fight again without doing any special stuff and taking other rewards after the battle on floor 103... any advice on what to do?
I feel like Elite Redux should be Top 1 of every list. Nothing even comes remotely close to it. It is the definition of what a rom-hack should be, every pokemon is viable now and has lots of fun new strategies thanks to having 4 abilities.
this has nothing to do with the video but can someone help me? when i open pokerouge im stuck on the pokerouge is a rogue like screen and it shows me no controls and no in game game pad. i play on mobile so if someone could help me that would be splendid
Imo Mudkip ist only a good Starter for the early game. Swampert is a physical attacker, but only learns special moves aside from earthquake which you have to teach with this remembering shroom. Then you have stab eq physical and it is only good for that if you don't find waterfall. Better take another one or try to find a Gyarados and Excadrill as phenomenal water type and the latter as earthquake stab.
this was the most lowest effort video i have ever seen... you barely gave tips that only apply to endless mode, basically took all of the info from someone else, saying you don't know much about endless yet still making a video on it, not covering half of it because ''we're probably not going that far into endless'' with a title that says ''tips to help you 'beat' endless''... and just dumping it into the description...
nah. the best water starter is def the popplio. 1. fairy type for the rayquaza and endynalos 2. it gets the egg move bouncy bubble. hitting both enemies but no allies with a power of 60 and healing for 100% of the damage dealt. not 50% like the other abilities. 100%! xd its totally busted.
I had no clue the shiny odds were still that high. Today is my third day playing and yesterday I got three shiny mons: Bidoof, Mankey, and Venipede. For YEARS on my normal cartridge games I’ve tried to get a shiny Venipede and now I have one 😭but point is I figured the odds were way lower with how many I found already without any special items to help
13:40 rn it doesnt really do that. had a highlighted pokeball and got a huge IV up from it...i really cant tell. maybe the grey ball only shows abilities, because IV diff it surely doesnt.
Filter+Solid Rock Mega Aggron would mean that super effective moved would do 1.125x normal damage. It technically has weaknesses still, but they don’t make much of a difference.
play the game or leave if u cant play it anymore. but stop act like u care about this and play the game again on the next day. This Video feels like he just make it to looks like a good guy. But he gives a fk because he make good clicks with these pokemon Vids
