I need your help. I am responsible for testing half Bridge drivers for an inverter circuit driven by an acpl 33333 J with pulse width modulation input. I am mandated to do a short circuit test on the output of the H Bridge and I get mixed results. Sometimes the high side igbt shorts violently and sometimes the low side shorts violently sometimes they both go short and blow up. Sometimes the circuit passes with no problem. I am using a large circuit breaker on the inverter load connections to introduce my short. I simply close the breaker when I am ready to perform my short test. I am tired of having to change the output igbts continuously and need a way to get the H bridge to survive a short circuit test we call it a crowbar test.

Hi.. That was a very informative video for me....Do you have any research paper or document to support this claim that SiC MOSFET can withstand the fault for about 3usec...I would happy to read that more in detail.....I really appreciate it if you can share that with me.
Other than the power can you elaborate on the differences between the older GS-EVB-AUD-BUND and GS-EVB-AUD-BUNDLE2-GS? ALso what is the switching frequency on the GS-EVB-AUD-AMP2-GS?

Hmm, so this app via rf, energy box is what could open the door wide from 100% solid state microwave cooking. now ya said each module has a max rf, watt output of 250 x 2 watts at 2 4 to 2.5 ghz. is 500 watts enough power to cook food efficiently? Or do them old magnetrons still have an advantage? Could 4 of these high power rf modules be combined with antennawave guilds at 4 remote locations to produce 1kw thus match the power levels of those cheaper ovens or is 500 watts capable of cooking food just as quickly? Just saying for I don't see those kinda microwave ovens on the market nor can i find cost pre unit data for a seller.
