The official GCH Guitar Academy RU-vid channel. GCH Guitar Academy was established in 1992 teaching private 1 to 1 guitar lessons in North Wales. But it wasn’t until technology improved that GCH Guitar Academy really took off with the GCH Guitar Academy multimedia guitar course. The guitar course had been written and perfected over several years teaching students face to face, so it had therefore been developed to the needs of the average students.
The multimedia course was sold as CD-rom and DVD-roms and later in a download version, meaning it could be made available worldwide. As well as this the multimedia guitar course was featured in multiple computer magazines along with a free short version that was included on the magazines cover CD-rom and website.
Now GCH Guitar Academy is to building up the RU-vid channel views and website visits so advertising revenue will allow me to give all the lessons for free.
My Godin mutiac has been without strings for 9 months because I can't get motivated enough to change the strings given the labor involved. I want to play it, but when I think about the strings, I just go to my strat. Thank you for this post, so detailed and well presented. I just placed an order hoping this will end my laziness to change the strings. All the best.
I bought a Mogabi right after you published that first one. The first one they sold in there USA. I ordered mine in a Classical ( nylon strings ). It’s pretty awesome.
I saw in another video that you don't need the nine volt plug because you can use the u s b plug to power it🤔🤷♂️ Which makes sense, because What company would send out their product without a way of powering it out of the box😵💫
Thank you for your review, I like slow talkers I can take it in better and understand it all at my age lol. For busking there's the weight as well as I suffer with arthritis and back problems.
Extremely well explained in layman's terms, especially about the multiples. I have never heard that before. Thanks again for the lesson. Two Christmas Carols cracked the third one we will not talk about just yet!!
Yes, I phone app is probably the easiest way to tune for anyone. If you aren't playing it with other instruments, it's probably not that important if it's out of tune a bit 😊
Thank you for all your amazing work! Book One was fantastic, as are all the accompanying videos! They are truly professional in terms of photography, sound, and of course, content. These are, by far, the best guitar courses and lessons I have ever encountered, in person or over the net. Nothing else even comes close! BTW: It was also your review of the Donner Hush 1 which convinced me to purchase that guitar. I cannot overstate what an incredible instrument it is - especially for reserved or introverted aspiring musicians, who may be too shy to practice even in private (as strange as that sounds). Its design allows those with finger and/or hand strength issues to perform actions which may prove overwhelmingly difficult, or even impossible, on regular guitars. It is also easy and comfortable to hold. For anyone who is contemplating, or has already quit the guitar due to the mechanical difficulties of holding the instrument, or pressing down the strings, don't give up until you have tried this guitar - you will be shocked at what you can accomplish!
@@guitar-academy independiente de que sea China, encuentro que es una tremenda guitarra, para el precio que tiene. Suena increíble. A la altura de guitarras más costosas. Me encanta Washburn, hace guitarras increíbles a un precio económico
A couple of scenarios....What does it sound like if you replace the acoustic strings with electric guitar strings? ....and recommendation for a modification to the guitar....design a head that will be easier to use a tuner. Current design makes it difficult to attach a tuner. I had a hard time deciding where to place the tuner...unlike a guitar with a regular head.
After hearing people say armrests are needed to help sustain, I did an A/B test recording where I can see the wav form size / length and tried with and without armrest. When without, I really put the weight of my forearm into the guitar. No difference. I use the John Pearce armrest rosewood model btw. Stuck on. The value in it for me is, not getting my sweat / skin cells on the guitar.
I cut a triangle piece of styrofoam from a takeout package lid and slid it under the springs. Deadens them too. I was wondering if you tried a cast brass claw, much stiffer and ears don't move. They have one on an angle that evens out the tension, heavier strings more, lighter strings less automatically. You can adjust your cheap one according to Carl Verhayen here on RU-vid. Supposedly makes the trem system stay intune better. Makes sense but havnt tried it yet.thanks for the video. Good work.
Lol I'm left handed but learned to play right handed when I was ten. I received a left handed guitar as a graduation gift under the information that I was indeed left-handed, so I'm re-learning guitar left-handed, ngl it's really hard 💀
This guy's voice is so dry I had to stop the video to get a drink of water. On a more serious note, if you need this gimmick your guitar has more problems that point to bad design or construction. It's like buying a Yugo with $20,000 wheels.
52-year owner of 2 Epiphones and a Strat. If you have junk tuners this thing will not cure them. Shell out the cash for good tuners and you don't need this gimmick.
