I drive a school bus for our local school system.... it provides Medical Insurance, a small monthly check, and it is a great way to be around the kids in your area! it only takes about an hour and a half in the afternoon... the morning run is way before our church office opens so it doesn't take that much time out of your day. More Pastors need to do this!
I just discovered you guys. Great video. Have you used Brave? Other than the (left leaning news it feeds) I love it. It's a beefed up security version of Firefox. Or so they say.
There aren't many jobs that all pastors should stay away from. However, if any job requires you to lie or betray your convictions, it should be avoided.
@ThomasWade-w2s Selling Alcohol, Beer, Cigarettes, being a Tattoo Artist, politician... anything that is an obvious conflict of interest with scripture.
Did ya'll even watch what he actually did in the video? He pasted his actual sermon that he created and then asked gpt to make an outline of it. Ya'll need to chill LOL
Exactly! Which is why we don't advocate using ChatGPT for crafting sermons. But it can still be used as a helpful tool to save pastors loads of time, when used correctly 😊
This feels gross. Its a complete disservice to your congregation. I am not even religious. You are artificially channeling your religion through a machine that has no concept of the significance of what its giving you. Insane
In other videos, we've cautioned against using generative AI tools to craft sermons. But some of these tools can be used wisely and save church leaders lots of time!
Each of our church elders takes a turn presenting the welcome and announcements. Although more physically appealing and more efficient, I'm concerned an AI presenter on video would be seen as unpersonable. or lazy. What are your thoughts?
From chat GPT... "it is reasonable to estimate that there could be at least 100 different recorded versions of “Good Good Father” when you consider various official recordings, live performances, and international versions. "
Due to privacy laws, of which we were ahead of years ago, we have been also asking for this and I'm so glad to see you making this video to remind people to do so Thank you so much for handing these tips off even if it's new to you because it reminds us to continue the course and or to add something that we don't know about as well. You guys are rockstars and we love this product
Those who give to get a tax kick back have not given for the right reason, and what they have given is sham in the eyes of our lord. Those who give for these with this in mind, have not given what they have offered to give, and the only blessing coming to them is the small percentage tax write off from their taxable income from the government IRS. Those who sanction this type of giving are as wrong as they ones giving. Only a small percentage of tax payers will ever meet the allotted amount of standard deductions for charitable donations in the first place. This gimmick will benefit only a small percentage of the very wealthy attending church that is a government 501C-3 controlled church .
Chat GPT4 is even faster and better... continuing to get better and for me is likened to "having a summer intern to help gather the resources to write." The whole fear of a Chat GPT Sermon is real in the congregations. Love the content, keep it up!
Love this content guys! As a tri-vocational pastor I am always looking for more work and a way to figure out how to provide for my family and my church. I do IT so I have several local companies that have me as their first line of technology related infrastructure and /or decision making and it pays the bills to allow me to continue to minister as a pastor. BTW - This content is needed and good for your company as well. I am following the footsteps of a pastor that chose ChurchTrac a few years ago and now in the process of looking for more. As I dove into ChurchTrac website I found that you already had developed the tech we were looking to implement to our small church. Now if I can only get my leadership to authorize a little bit more $ every month ;)
We're glad you found the content helpful! Having a skill like you do that allows you to serve others and bring extra income is truly the best path for earning sustainable income for pastors of smaller churches.
I'm glad to know that I can add a video card to my church's app. I would like more information as to how to add or embed the video into the card. It asks for a video ID. We upload our videos to RU-vid weekly, but I do not know where or how to find this information, therefore my video will not play. A little assistance or tutorial as to where/how to locate the video ID would be greatly appreciated.
I found the information! For RU-vid, it is in the settings when I upload the video (the alpha-numeric code under the video). I also found it in the video URL, just after "watch/?v=" I hope this helps others searching for this information.
Twilio now offers $100 in credit. And you don't have to go through TechSoup anymore to get the credit! Just apply for Twilio's Impact Access Program here - www.twilio.org/support-and-resources/impact-access-program
You're right, He probably wouldn't! However, we don't believe in turning the church into a business, either. Using these tools can simply help ministers save time, kind of like using the internet for sermon research rather than physical books. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I think would see a benefit to using technology to spread the gospel. However, loving others and making disciples is most certainly better accomplished by people. Technology should be used to enhance what we do, not replace us.
You have to sign up for their Impact Access Program to get the credit. That can be done here - www.twilio.org/support-and-resources/impact-access-program Also, they have changed their offering since we recorded this video. They now offer $100 of free texting credits.
Members can cancel recurring donations anytime! They just have to log into their Connect account and navigate to the donation portal, then click the settings "cog wheel" button to make any changes. ChurchTrac users can also manage recurring donations by navigating to the Online Giving tab in the Giving screen, then clicking the "Manage Recurring Donations" button.
is there a way to have it print as soon as i click print labels instead of having 2 additional clicks. for example removing the steps of the print button on the new tab and then the okay button on the print settings.
As of right now, no. That's because our software isn't want is connecting to the printer. It's the browser you're using that connects to the printer. So the "Print Labels" button merely initiates that process. However, we are working on some big updates to the check-in process that we'll be releasing in the near future that will massively improve this process. Stay tuned!
They absolutely can! Your volunteers just have to log into their account in Church Connect and go to the "Upcoming Events" tab. They will find the invitation to serve as well as their role and other information you attach to the service outline.
