I'll never understand the younger generation's fascination with chain brakes. I'm sure I'll be glad it's there should the SITUATION arise; but QUIT playing with it! You 'people' drive me nuts with the constant flipping on and off of the EMERGENCY brake!😊
I was looking at it from a homeowners or ground sawyer's perspective. I used to run medium and large; (090, 075, and 051 saws); and never used the chain brake. I don't even know if those saws had one.
Absolutely beautiful boat. 2:59 Wouldn't own anything else. On those fenders. Our Allison GSE has the same Boatmate trailer. I slotted the fender mount holes about 1.5 inches to give a bit more clearance. Couldn't even get a wash mitt in there.
Thanks! Went the last year doing some testing and tweaking. Have some footage but the AquaTraction business has kept us so busy we’ve not had time to edit videos.
I'm getting one of these too this year. I've chopped them up in the past with the tractor and they do disappear each week through Thanksgiving..and my grass does appreciate it, but that decomposition stops by 1st wk December as the temps go below 50. I also do dethatch each year, and picking up that debris layer with a push mower gets a little old.
Weight does not have to even out the boat , if you are porpising, or having to adjust weight you got sold the wrong prop Or lower the motor where it mounts to the Jack plate , I had this same issue with my Bullet 22 sf with that same motor
It could be mounted too high where it mounts to the back of the hydraulic Jack , if you lower it I would only go one at a time , but I would think of doing this before going to spend of bunch of money on a new prop , only trying to help I do like ur boat
If you like the battery snowblowers go for it…. But I really don’t believe when you say that the gas one will be broken or in the shop when you need it. That’s just not true. I have an Ariens and it works great… and I do several neighbors driveway burms that the snow plow piles up in front of their driveway… and their battery Snowblowers can’t tackle it. That’s the truth. I do have a battery lawnmower which I like… but unfortunately the battery is dying and they want $200 for a new battery. I hear the Ego battery is $400…? Unbelievable. For a battery?? That’s ridiculous.
looks great. I would have sprayed the lid edges the same color of the gel instead of black though. Any auto paint store can match the color and mix up spray cans of it.
Thanks for watching ! I preferred the black myself due to the black foam edges. For most any boat painting application I use Totalboat products. They make a No-Etch aluminum paint that’s much easier than standard car enamels and unreal tough.
Great blower but poorly designed on the scraper bar. It will chew up the scraper bar after 2x of usage, and making it hard to push the blower. I have to improvise by adding the skid shoes on both sides of the auger box. I used the Ego skid shoes. Wow, night and day! Now, I don't have to worry about chewing up the scraper bar, and now it's easy to push the blower.
You might try this, after talking to several people (mainly from ace hardware) who own ego snowblowers, the biggest cause for the batteries dying so quick is because everyone runs them at 'turbo' speed. Maybe set the speed/throttle about medium or so (like gas snow blowers) and the batteries will last quite awhile
Check out the first video. All wet slushy snow. I tried to destroy this thing ramming it into plowed snow in the street. Impressive for a single stage electric !
I’ve done it both ways. All depends on how thick the leaves are. If you mow while sweeping, offsetting the unit to the discharge side is the way to go !
See that's what I like,a true American posting a great video on helping a neighbor across the state .thank you on the helpful hints and of course God bless
It's a race boat that boat is layed out beter than they used to be onn reason It's not friendly to weight in the rear is it was originally designed for 2 stroke h/ p outboards and 4 stroke outboards are heaver
Add to that the lithium’s up front and the balance point changes. I’ve found with high performance boats that weight distribution goes a long way with high speed drivability.
This is an excellent boat and hull. I have ran several several hulls: couple champions, gambler, skeeters, rangers, legend, basscat, pheonixes , bullet, nitro, stratos and a few I'm forgetting. The point is, in my opinion, the new XB21 has it all. Set up is important, but quality build and performance goest to this hull. By far them most efficient on the water. It fishes extremely stable, it handles running rough water wave faces the best, It corners unbelievable better than the Champions I ran. Its storage is an open concept with bulk storage in mine . I like that as you decide how to configure. This is the funniest 30mph to 60mph spirited, responsive and agile ride in the business. Yes it runs significantly faster but if you are tour guy it's a dream come true in efficiency. Great great hull. I have had this boat in giant waves and in ugly chop. Will get another. Good first time owner walk through. I think over time you really get to appreciate the performance.
Thanks for the kind words ! I’m truly blessed. I waited almost 15yrs before buying another boat and did my homework. There are some great boats out there and the Allison isn’t for everyone. But like o said, for the way I fish and the places I fish, there were only a few boats to really consider. The Allison does so much well, and the build quality and hull are light years ahead of other boats. Any 2000lb hull is going to ride decent, but this thing rides awesome and has the agility of a jet ski. Thanks for watching. We do have more content coming, but the AquaTraction business has taken off so RU-vid has taken a back seat.
Yep, your the guy that puts them out in the street so the first time it rains it blocks the storm drain. Not to mention the mail man having drive in them. Hey the yard looks good. Great sweeper.
I have one that picks up too many Acorns here in Maine. I have to remove the bag, haul it into the woods to dump. Too heavy for my old body so don't use it. Only other choice for dumping is to raise it up and dump it in the bed of my pickup and off to the dump. Can't use it.
Just got mine and used for 1st time this past weekend with the dethatcher attachment and it worked great. Only thing that sucked was that ground still very wet in areas as we have been hit hard recently and only have so much time to take care of lawn. So if grass pickup & dethatching is your issue, this thing works great for it.
I have had mine less than a year and use it to pick up grass clippings. The basket has torn in multiple places from falling off the unit when empty on the return from the compost pile. The blades no longer pick up grass. I am guessing the gears need replacing. The design is flawed. Most people who use these have a compost pile and need to get the load there. There needs to be an easier way to lift/disconnect the wheels/gears from the blades so it can be pulled with a full load while not picking up more material. There also needs to be a bracket to tow the basket upside down so it doesn't fill back up on the way back from the compost pile.
I have one of those, not the same brand but basicly the same, Got a little too old to rake leaves all day , so bought one, as soon as my neighbors saw me using it, they all went out and bought one for the same reason. That was 16 years ago, and the only thing I have needed to replace was the hopper, it finaly started tearing at the seams, the new one was a new and improved modle and works great. When I am finished cleaning up the leves in the Fall ,I take it apart and store it in the basement, out of the weather and close to my basement work shop so I can service it during the winter and get it ready for Spring.
@@jessealcorta5271 Just clean it up, make sure everything is clean and lubricated, and try to keep it out of the winter weather, I kept it out doors year around and then after 16 years of weather the hopper material finally started to wear out so now will only bring it up when I am ready to use it. This spring I did not need to use it, so it stays in the basement until Fall. LOL Then it does it's job.
I had the same problem with my pick up tube and Tim gave me the tubes, had Buck Marine installed it and good to go. Thx for great story. From California Glenn
Pretty sure I heard about it. After a few calls to Moeller, I can Honestly say I wasn’t impressed with their accountability for the issues they caused.
Hey! Nice video. It answers my questions halfway. Will it work on cut grass? I have a mower that doesn't collect grass, can I pick it up with this thingie? thanks!
@@igipop1981 I’ve been mulching the leaves as long as there aren’t too many and leaving the grass clippings on the lawn. It’s supposed to be better for your lawn. However it requires consistent / frequent mowing. If you have tall grass I totally get why you’d want to collect it.
@@ohiorectec6055 thing is, i usualy clip it regulary an leave it scattered about. However, this year has been rainy as never, and then hot. And thick wet grass is a no-go. So, sometimes it gets away from me, and i get a thicker layer of clipping tham i would like to have. Next round fixes it, but those situations would be better handled if i pick them up the next day :) Thanks for the responses!
Thanks for watching! Sleep well knowing it was cleaned and shortly after this video, it went to Allison for a full detail to be on display at the 2023 Bassmaster Classic for FastBass Marine.
