I recently came back from a vacation trip to Key West with my wife and granddaughter. We experienced minor tropical storms while trying to reason with hurricane season Debbie. Mallory square is where everyone gathers to watch the sun set, silhouetted with sailboats doing the same. It is magical. I wanna go there.
I absolutely love this album!! It has some of the greatest grooves, magical moments and just downright fun! I'm sad that Jimmy is no longer here but he left us with a wonderful gift, with this album. More folks really need to have it in their collection. It's also a REALLY GREAT travelling album, wherever you go in life. Cheers, Jimmy. Drinking one for you tonight.

I too met my wife working in the library. *We had a parrot head wedding, tropical shirts no ties allowed.* This was the song that we chose to walk in on. Our wedding cake was shaped like a volcanic Island, had mini cheeseburgers and jerk chicken along with margaritas served by an Aussie bartender dressed in boots and shorts.

I had a freind that loved Jimmy buffet. My freind got a liver transplant biut died. Any time I hear Jimmy Buffet sing, I think of George. May they both rest in piece.

Was on “The Boat Ride” concert with your Dad in 1976 in St Pete - and booked bands on St Pete Beach at Watership Down in the 1980’s - we used bits of this song in radio ads mainly because i just LOVE THE SONG - and i literally could eat “oysters and beer for dinner every day of the year”! SO HAPPY that you and your Dad did this series … God Bless you - and remember to celebrate his BIRTHday …. Not so much that sad day from what has been almost a year ago, now ….
Thank you Delaney, I loved your Dad eve though I never met him. Used to love Delaney talks to statues. My daughter was a toddler at that time, running around the pool. Now hearing your voice, sounds like her voice. I know how much you loved your Dad, I see that love in my daughter’s eyes!
