I mean yeah help them if they crashed but people running like it's about them. Some start running before the car even stopped moving and nearly got hit. Also I'm pretty sure it's unhelpful if 20 people lay down their absolute fastest sprint just to be near the car and look and them not knowing what to do.
It takes F1 twenty minutes to clear a car that has broken down in a safe place on the track, with flatbeds and cranes. Meanwhile, a bunch of highschoolers armed with a townstrap will run right in the middle of where 15 previous cars have gone off and have it cleared in under a minute.
I really appreciate the lack of dickheads running in front of cars these days and the amount of people that run in to make sure the driver and codriver are okay after a crash.
