More than a decade ago, in my first playthrough, I've causally turned a young girl into neurotic genocidal maniac who speaks with dead people. It was fun and pew pew until that ending song hit and I had a pause to reflect on what I've done. ...Sure, I did the pacifict and max difficulty runs later. But that first blind playthrough is the only I consider genuine, and it still haunts me.
Lyrics : At the end of days, at the end of time. When the Sun burns out will any of this matter. Who will be there to remember who we were? Who will be there to know that any of this had meaning for us? And in retrospect I'll say we've done no wrong. Who are we to judge what is right and what has purpose for us? With designs upon ourselves to do no wrong, running wild unaware of what might come of us. The Sun was born, so it shall die, so only shadows comfort me. I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me. Each day shall end as it begins and though you're far away from me I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me Without a thought I will see everything eternal, forget that once we were just dust from heavens far. As we were forced we shall return, perhaps some day, I will remember us and wonder who we were.
Quite epic, rather based, very pogchamp, perhaps even goated (seriously though, i'm glad i'm not the only one who prefers this to 7/4 and the final boss theme, well done)
I suddenly had an itch to search for my favourite Iji song while I was working out and saw this very recent upload. I have to say, I absolutely adore it! The feel of the song is a tiny bit different in a good way and the instruments play off of each other very well. I know next to nothing about music, but I gotta say, if this is your first upload in four years, then I'm glad I found ya' when I did. You've earned yourself a new subscriber, and I hope to see more tunes from you! :)
I've stopped playing games cause I lost interest in games a while ago, but I feel like playing Iji rn. It breaks my heart to know Iji never got the popularity it deserves.
Why did you lose interest, exactly? Because each one copies one another, originality is lost for more money gain, censorship everywhere because "we want our little groups not to be insulted by trivial themes or parts". Or forcing agendas through themes without having any thoughtful, beneficial lesson for the audience? Just asking, no hostility here, just my experience through gaming
@@NeostormXLMAX You should try ",From Earth" a steam mod game that is unfinished and abandoned. It has a pacifist or a genocide route while learning alien language and translating them. If you don't want to do that, just kill everything that moves. It is extremely beautiful (in my eyes), the source engine doing the work.
@@deadspace4755 That sounds like a majestic concept for a game! Sadly, I'd have to buy HL2 just to play it 😭 Or... Not? It's literally on a 95% discount sale right now. Talk about PROVIDENCE.
They have a whole album which can be found on RU-vid. I just posted this one since I didn't see it on here. They also have a few other songs, some which are probably lost to time.
Woah. Never seen this before. In fact a few days ago I asked Daniel Remar about this on Twitter because I couldn't find any info on this mysterious band. twitter.com/reallyremar/status/1273025226239029251 Where did you get the cover, though? I don't see any images on that site.
To answer your other comment, it was apparently someone's personal website that happened to have an entire directory for Machinae Supremacy related things. The owner must have realized someone was poking around there after all these years and made that directory private. C'est la vie. As for LifeForce itself, their old website (along with the cover) can be found on the Wayback Machine. Sadly the song downloads don't work, meaning two songs of theirs are seemingly lost to time. web.archive.org/web/20030220061525/lifeforce.2y.net/
Between hard drives but wanted to listen to one of my favourite songs. And think about that first journey of Iji apologizing to the first Tasen she killed to laughing and shouting as she mowed down Berserkers.
@@Juuhazan_ sadly, the game is on a war, there will be casualities, you want it or not, that made the game very profound, you can't "really" be a pacifist lol
They have an entire album, actually. You can find the others on RU-vid as well, I just uploaded this and the full version of Further since I couldn't find them here. According to their old website, they do have two other songs that have since been lost to time.
I agree, what a vibe. Wish there were lyrics available though :( Also I'm so sorry I didn't reply to you until now! I discovered your RWBY AU project completely by chance and just learned that you left a comment. I've been in pure disbelief at seeing LifeForce of all things intersect with the show for the past hour now. I'm not a RWBY fan but your project looks great, good luck with it!
@@Juuhazan_ lol, what a small world! I'm happy to hear that. You must have seen the video I used this same track on, Cinder's Tale. But yeah, I keep coming back to this obscure band when I need good moody inspiration music, lol. And thank you for the kind words! EDIT: And yeah, it's sad the lyrics are basically lost to time now. It's hard to really tell what words are being sung, which would have been incredibly useful for writing inspiration. xD EDIT2: OH, just realised you must be talking about me using Breed in the trailer, not Whispers, lol. Gotcha. Safe to say, I fully intend to continue using more LifeForce music in my RWBY project, if only to make sure this awesome music doesn't get forgotten. :]
I just remembered VNV nation, and this song immediately sprang to mind...man the memories. And Iji was a neat little indie game, I don't even remember how I had found it those many many many years ago, but man, am I glad that I found and finished it back then...so many memories are flooding back right now. Thanks a lot for uploading this.
@@V742 Odd for sure, but on the other hand, the game was the creator, Daniel Remar's hobby project to do in his spare time. He updated it from GameMaker 5.3 to 7.0 and added some content he wasn't able to add previously so that it would work on modern systems. All for free. Completely on his own. Dude has a passion for what he does. It's pretty awesome to be honest.
What I know is that the storyboarders more or less dictate how the characters are animated (since Sugar gives them free reign to do so), and there are a whole bunch of them. So there's not one artist, but a whole bunch of them. That's why they sometimes look kinda different from episode to episode. Best example I know of is Zuke and Abrams' episodes, like Log Date 7 15 2. Notice how Pearl's nose is a more pronounced V-shape than in other episodes.
The site where I originally plucked this off of no longer hosts it apparently, so this place is probably the only place left that has it. www.blahblahonline.com/masu/lifeforce/
RoKayven Oh my god. How did you find this I've been searching on and off for YEARS thank you SO much for linking this! EDIT: The site hosting doesn't really have things in order, do you by chance have a track listing so I can edit them and put them in the intended album order?
Alex Kastner Someone already posted the rest of the tracks by the band on youtube, with a link to the same website. I just uploaded the missing songs (this and Whispers), I can’t take any credit. As for the track list: 1. Prey (hard) 2. Forgotten Futures 3. Outcast 4. Make Believe (I believe the one on that site is a rougher, early version.) 5. Caged 6. Breed 7. Prey (extended) 8. is tricky. All sites I’ve seen list Further, but according to their site it is Whispers. I suppose you can add another track number if that irks you.
@@Juuhazan_ "The site where I originally plucked this off of no longer hosts it apparently" Which site was that? archive.org can sometimes recover stuff like that.
