Sad to see how far this park has fallen, two years ago we were season passholder. It was our first introduction to amusement parks, and it's really sad to see how poorly they treat their good coasters.

Great video...Enjoyed it. I took my girls there last summer for the first time and honestly it was a terrible visit. My twin girls who at the time were 8 were bored as the dont ride big coasters and too big for alot of the kid rides..bad customer service and ALOT of bees...Alot. Down rides and the kicker was on I think its called Cyclone (scrambler at some other parks) over to the left right when you come in the employee did not stop a man on the ride from pulling out a selfie stick with phone attached and hold it out the enter ride. The the employee after 0the ride opens the entrance for the next group before opening the exit so you had people trying to get out the same was the people were coming in..it was sad. My kids loved the water park though. So we went back this past Saturday (8/3/24) hoping it would be better. Sadly it wasnt. The park isnt an all day park. We were the from 11 to almost 3. Very hot day so that didnt help. But with Steamtown not opening till 12 we ventured around I rode Firebird again and my goodness that ride is a headbanger. Got on Ragin Cajun and notice that thing spins alot at the end. more than it did last year. The bathrooms and Johnny Rockets has no air conditioning so that really sucked. Made our way into steam town and my kids loved the new ride until it sadly broke down. The loved the bumper cars. And why is it blocked from seeing by those who arent riding by these big black plastic drapes or whatever. The I rode Sky Winder for the first time and just let you guys I hated it. And Im a big guy who's plenty tall and felt the discomfort you guys did. It was just a bad ride. To end this the customer service is just as bad. The people in the stores dont say anything. They just stand there bored. Not friendly at all. In fact everywhere it was like that for us. It seems like they have mostly young people working. It just made for a bad experience. On the plus side we didnt have any issues with the bees this time. But when two 9 year olds and a 12 year old is bored at 2:30 at a rarely visited park its not a good sign. And Macho Nacho was closed and the kids were mad for that. Gotta add though 4 days prior we spent a day at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey and we frequent Busch Gardens Williamsburg so that doesnt help SFA's cause at all.
@@anthonywhite7117 None of this surprises me unfortunately! I’m sorry for the experience you had. We’re all parks season pass holders and live close so we didn’t have to go out of our way. My kids didn’t even want to eat there. “We’ll just wait for Ledo’s later mom!” 😂😂The only reason we went was Steam Town and the vlog. Otherwise we would go literally anywhere else! Thank you for taking the time to watch, we’re a small channel and it means alot! In general I always try and look for the positive, but it was hard on this one! 😂

We regretted not visiting that park during our recent coaster trip through the area, but I feel a little better about that now after watching your video. Bummer that so many things were down, but a down day at the park is more fun than a day sitting at home!
I was just watching this since I'm a coaster enthusiast who loves Kings Dominion, and this video was in my recommended videos. I was on a coaster trip from NC, which started earlier last week at Hershey Park and ended on Friday at Kings Dominion -- AND coincidentally, I'm in this video 3 various times. The first time is at 15:35 - I'm in the background, walking along past the Fast Lane Sign on the other side of the fence behind you. I had just gotten off Twisted Timbers. Then at 15:57, I'm the guy in the black, sleeveless shirt and shaved head walking behind where you are filming. And finally, at 17:42, I walked into the station of The Grizzly. I'm behind where you are filming, deciding which row I was going to ride in.

@@Themeparkgirlz It does seem like we were coincidentally on the same route through the park after riding Twisted Timbers. Very funny! I did have a great time, especially since there was rarely more than a station wait on all the coasters I rode throughout the day.
Awesome video! The highlight of our first trip to Dorney in June was to ride Demon Drop again for the first time since being a teenager at Cedar Point! It's such a nice park, with light lines, a great water park, and a solid lineup of great coasters. Thank you!

I would of voted haunted estate but sky rocket is supposed to be tight because when you go fast it keeps you from not falling when you go up the huge hill just letting you know that's why it's tight thanks for the video ❤
I have heard that the reason why they charge like they do for the Haunted Mansion is to cut down on teenagers causing damage to the show scenes. I am a former Disney Cast Member who worked attractions for 9 years. I can tell you how brats used mustard and ketchup on the animatronics 😂
Thanks for the helpful review! How was the parking situation? I read that there are picnic tables near the preferred parking area. I’d like to celebrate my kid’s birthday at the park, but the park food looked so unappealing. Wonder if it makes sense to have a picnic and sing HBD outside in the picnic area?
@@a.z.8364 Parking wasn’t bad, it’s in very close proximity to the main gate. I personally wouldn’t spend the extra money on preferred parking unless someone has a situation with mobility in your party. I didn’t notice a picnic area, but I wasn’t looking for it either. Not going to lie, the food was pretty awful, but I will also throw in that the next morning after the vlog was recorded I woke up with the flu, so maybe my tastebuds were off? I doubt it though. 😂😂
I had so much fun watching you guys enjoy and experience Knoebels for the first time. I live just about 2.5 hours away in New Jersey and do one to two Knoebel runs a year. Been going since I was little in the 70s. It is far and away my favorite park .. my happy place Couple of things, Knoebels is well know for ride restorations, this year Paratrooper and the Log Flume are getting the full treatment. The flume should be back soon, but I think Paratrooper will likely be in refurb mode all year. The Haunted House has alway not be included in the daily pass to discourage vandalism. A lot of those ride were targeted by teenagers in the 70s, so the Knoebels family always wanted it to stay special. The ride was kind of a celebration of recovering from the major flood in rhe early 70s. Did you guys ride Flyer, Bumper Cars or the Grand Carousel? All three are considered the top one or two their type. The train ride is a can't miss too, just very relaxing. As for food, the Lemonade from the stand that looks like a lemon is fresh squeezed right in front of you, so good. The frozen apple cider slushy near Satellite is super unique. As for pierogies, The Alamo has a full dinner tradition onions and butter version and the stand behind the mini golf has fried ones. I could go on and on, but you'll find the thing I mentioned and so much more on future trips. I honestly want to jump in the vehicle and head there right now after watching you vid!
Wow, thanks for your kind words and all the info! We are far from "professional" vloggers and screw a lot of things up, but we have a great time in the process, LOL! We didn't do the carousel, but it looks like that'll be first on our list when we return because other people have mentioned it to us too. I'll be in the lookout for those perogies as well!
I love this video. My wife and I have been taking our kids to Kings Island since the 90s. We still have season passes and our 2 daughters still come with us. My favorite coaster is the Beast. There is nothing like it. My daughters love Diamondback. Glad to see you had a good time.
@@Themeparkgirlz He's correct. They technically never go upside-down. And the spin's also a controlled spin, the rider has no control of it. It was a one-and-done for me. :)
You get close to upside down, but never more than maybe 70%. Being 6'4", I've retired Satellite from trip experience. I'm pushing maximum height for that ride.
We had a blast! Definitely carve out some time for the water park! We stayed at the most darling B&B in the neighboring town of Jasper called Winfield West. We highly recommend it!
Cedar Downs is only one of three left in the world, but the only one that the horses still move forward and back. It was originally at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland, Ohio.
We do when we’re allowed. Sea World Parks and Entertainment does allow and we have POV’s of the coasters at Busch Gardens, but most parks have a strict no filming policy. If you have a substantial following (Theme Park Review for example) parks will make exceptions and have special accommodations, but being new and only have 100 subs, we have no chance. 😂

Unfortunately, the guy died that was hit by Banshee. But, I’m happy you all enjoyed my home park KI. You need to get that famous Beast night ride. And since you are going to Holiday World (although you might have already been there by this time), get that Voyage night ride.
@@pipepicasso8112 Yes, so awful! When the vlog was recorded we were in the park the evening it occurred and the day after when he hadn’t passed yet. Holiday World was awesome! We really enjoyed every minute there. That vlog will be out in a day or two. We’ve spent the last few days at Dorney Park and Knoebels, so lots of material to get out. 😂
I'm sure the crowds on a Monday will be a far more easy going experience than what we encountered on a Saturday and if you have a little one who's big into Sesame Street, than I have no doubt it will be a magical day for them! Have a great time!
