Did you ever get the extended version? I find plenty of reviews on this and some on the pole version but yet to find a comparison. Obviously one is longer but they seem to have a different cutting mechanism despite in theory having the same cutting capacity.
I'm debating between this and the 3 gallon one. I want to use it to clean my AC drain (suck the water from it) and a quick clean for the cars. What is your opinion? What do you think would work best for this?
Don't run batteries down until they're stone cold dead. That's really going to shorten the life of them. I've got Ryobi batteries going strong still after 6 years.
Standardized on Ryobi's 18v. battery platform about 2 or 3 years ago.... But thankfully only bought a handful of items for that battery platform. Yeah, not buying anymore Ryobi tools. HUGE selection doesn't mean much when the tools break easily, and when they actually work; they're horribly underpowered. No thank you.
The ryobi box cutter XD what a touch! also, I feel like I belong here as a long standing RYOBI user, and supporter and advocate. Growing up watching the aussie Mighty Car Mods, it's like bro, they been using ryobi for YEARRRSSSSSS so when i finally picked what brand i was gunna fill work truck with, ryobi it is.
Don't buy anything but the silver colored Ryobi batteries. The ones that come with that cheap charger for $100 are junk ...you're better off buying a shrimp boat anchor to use as a battery. Because that's what that's gonna be. They are junk. Junk junk junk junk. Junk 😊
This looks perfect for placing heat set inserts into 3d printed parts. Does the piece the cutting tool go in adjust? I’d like to be able to place a soldering iron in one to melt the inserts into the printed parts.
ROFL! Damn! Ryobi made a camera? Does it use the 18v battery as well. ;) I didn't even know that they made a tool storage cabinet and a chair. I have never seen them at Home Depot or their Factory Outlet store before. Did you just mock up a different companies product? I see you have the Ryobi 9" band saw. I've only ever hear bad things about it (cheap, thin plastic, weak power, etc...). How has it performed for you and would you consider it a good wood working tool or is it better to invest into a better brand?
I don't know why people don't like Ryobi. It seems to get alot of hate but for what I've used of the brand for the price its nice enough and as long as the tool gets the job done then its the right tool for me.
You carefully opening the box with a utility knife, then screw it tear it open cracked me up! lol As far as a tip - maybe look into an upgraded microphone to better hear your sweet baritones. Just a thought :) Love me some Ryobi, but as far as multi tools, I have like 5 of them, and they all stay in a drawer - they are just too big (for me) to carry around.
Just use the 4v USB lithium rotary cutter to trim the edges off the clamshell. That's the main reason I bought one! Never fails that I slice my hands up trying that, and my arthritis makes the grip needed for scissors hurt like Hell.
I am having the same problem. It works for about five minutes and then there are just hundreds of bugs around it and it does nothing. Junk! Don't buy! Returning mine tomorrow.
Use gas stabilizer. I dump that in my motorcycle, run it for 20+ km then store all winter zero problems. Oh yeah - use premium gas (no ethanol) for the last 2 fills - alcohol gas seems to make more varnish w time.
Nice idea especially when going back and forth between a drill bit and screw bit. What is it like popping bits in and out of it while attached to tool? With the way it is attached, it seems like it would easily detach when you have a bit that won't easily pop off.
I have one and use it mostly for the holidays with sanding some scroll saw cutouts. I use mine with the corded rotary tool though since it is mostly stationary and prefer having consistent steady power with it.
@@PrimasXD123 I’m very impressed with the brushless model. I’m hoping it will work in the cold weather as it does now. The older models need to be warmed up before they will fire properly in my experience
@Ryobifanatics same reason I got the brisheless always had to warm up the older brushed model or it would not sink nails have not had that issue with this new brushless even in 7 degree weather
You need to check the voltage of each cell. if you are getting 14V, probably one shorted cell. If you have a lith charge that can charge 1 cell at a time, you might be able to recharge the 1 dead cell. Trying to fix the dead cell with a 14V charge across all the cells won't cure the problem.
I have one, in 3 years it's never been used. Thought my wife would use it for her crafts too and it never got touch. I guess we don't have Hobbies that require a base station. It's still pretty cool though.
