The diverse minority characters were still voiced by white dudes. Kazzy-nah-yo-nee-hi-uku. The real Japanese word for invisible is pronounce mini-mee-nigh.
Spoiler discussion. - - - - - - - - - - - I’ve always hated they never let Zeb be a God. There are so many interesting Norse gods he could have been, Axle literally couldn’t turn around without tripping over a god. How awesome would the ending be if Axel goes home, Zeb opens the door and asks where has he been? He still remembers his best bud. Hinting the norse gods and the mauri gods aren’t the only pantheon.
Just watched this video, again!, and realized you left out Conner's best line: "Same clan, different vintage." That should have been included! Adrian Paul now has the Sword SXP project going, with sword training and choreographed short films. I attended one in Ohio with him, it was great!
in the old days we had alot of sci fi shows at the same time. every style of sci fi represented ,and everybody was happy. glad there's good scifi that isn't a sequel, reboot or book adaptation.
It's a shame you guys split the scene. It seemed like you had a good thing going, I guess it just didn't take off? If you're working on another channel I'd like to know.
I just discover this show existed and was going to try to find it on streaming...now I don't have to. I was afraid it would be something like this. Catty girl bosses that nobody puts in their place are so, boring. Que Az rant, "YOU'RE BORING!"
I'm still waiting for Paramount to release an official, complete, book of the Rules of Acquisition patterned like the in-universe book at 0:17. We already have one from the late 90s while DS9 was still airing, but its incomplete and is missing more than half of the rules. In this day and age, with in-universe fandom books proving fairly popular, Paramount could commission such a book for the fans and it would sell fairly well. They could market it as a copy of the Rules that ended up in Quark's Bar on DS9, complete with Quark's commentary written in along with commentaries by other Star Trek characters such as Jadzia Dax, Rom, Nog, Leeta, Brunt, perhaps Odo, and other characters that would've come into contact with that particular copy. I can't be the only one who thinks this would sell well. Rule of Acquisition No. 9: Opportunity, plus instinct, equals profit. Hope you're reading this, Paramount.
I love 21 Jumpstreet. Maybe my favorite show of all time. Season 4 does have some forgettable episodes but there are two I would have on my top 10. "Mike's POV" A really intetesting look at a case through the perspective of the criminal and how these new people come into his school. And... "2245" The episode with Ronnie Seebok on death row waiting for his execution. Ronnie Seebok is probably the best returning character of the show and a pretty gutwrenching episode. Other episodes I might swap out with a few of your choices for my own list: Orpheus 3.3 A Big Disease With a Little Name Besieged 1&2 Hell Week Mean Streets and Pastel Houses I'd have to think about it. But yeah, season 5 is awful. Just such a mess with the cast and retreading episodes we've already seen. And you didn't mention how they are the McQuaid brothers in "Swallowed alive" too. I feel that was a fitting case for that cover. I assume you're throwing shade at Johnny Depp for jokes. But Hanson is easily the best character in the show. And best cop. But fun video. I love the idea of a top 10 for this show.
Yeah honestly this is one of my favorite movies ever lol. The effects/cinematography/choreography are just something I’ve never seen before. And some of the best I’ve ever seen.
I've often felt the tv format hurt The Expanse; the universe is so big, with so much potential. Yes they did an amazing job for the budget, especially with the physical sets. But I still wonder if it would translate well to the big screen. Some might say it's not very cinematic, but neither was Star Trek, and that translated pretty well. It just needs someone who knows how best to do it.
Yeah! Connor McLeod. Same clan different vintage I believe was how he described himself. No I don’t think it mathematically impossible. Could be a cousin wih the same last name. Perhaps the beginning of the McLeods. I mean my paternal grandfather had the same last name but different vintage and literally century. He was born the last year of the 19th century 1899. He was only 22 years older than my father’s brother who was six years older than dad. So same family, same last name whose original last name was shortened when grandpa’s family came over from Europe through Ellis Island. Perhaps Connor’s lineage began the McLeod name shortened from another. I mean my paternal grandfather started a whole new lineage with a shortened last name from the original. I just don’t know if it was the Polish or Russian line that the last name was. I call it plausible mathematically for Connor being a descendent of Duncan. Only Connor’s line started in the same century but earlier.
PSA: If you’re having trouble getting into the show - watch past episode 3/4. Basically 90% of the people online recommend this . To the author, thank you for the video
Grayson was Darius’s protege. He wanted Darius to create an army of immortals and take over the world. Darius finally agreed after they sacked Rome along with Alaric and the Visigoths, They then traveled to Paris where Darius found Emrys at the gates. He fought him and won, hence his light quickening. Emrys was 20, 000 years old , and knew what Darius and Grayson were planning . Either way he was going to prevent it from happening. He would either defeat Darius , or he would change him with the quickening. After this occurred, Darius went to Grayson a completely different person and Grayson felt betrayed and considered Darius a coward. Over the years he tried to create the plan, but he was never able to do it. His hatred grew over the centuries, and culminated in the fight with Duncan after he started killing off Darius’s protégés to try and draw him off of holy ground to fight him.
"Never spend more for an acquisition that you need to." 7th rule. Used philosophically to explain logic to a Vulcan, and she left the encounter seriously considering the point. Note that it doesn't say "pay" or "latinum", so it does apply generally to ALL costs, including good will/burning bridges.
I have rewatched this series probably an unhealthy amount of times. I love it so much it kinds is one of my comfort shows. It can be cheesey but still hit emotional moments. Its great. I appreciate this video.
