Amazing video, five years later. My question is how to do this level of micromanaging with another or two more engagements happening at the same time. That is my difficulty with this game.
This game series is so cool, so hard but so rewarding after you get the idea. I just wish it had some more guided campaigns on the manual to help you through.
Space marines are overpowered with there big laser. Everything costs toomuch whie resources are gained to slow. It has nothing to resemble too the lore. Never hated a rts this much!
I would be interested to ask players to see what their opinion is upon "Missing" troops. Where do they go? Why are they missing? Are they vaporized in combat explosions? Do they flee the army? I am curious as to this fact ...
They may have been killed, wounded, captured, executed, or deserted. If deceased, neither their remains nor grave has been positively identified. Becoming MIA has been an occupational risk for as long as there has been warfare. From Wikipedia Missing in action. "...more than 82,000 Americans remain missing from WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and the Gulf Wars/other conflicts.
13:50--It's always risky to move tanks out into the open. With hindsight a covered approach around the other side of Hill 124 might've been better. Would've taken a bit longer but probably safer. Great video, thanks for uploading.
thanks for making multiple videos on how to help. i love RTS games, and Paradox games.....i have only played for a few hours so far and damn, does this game have a learning curve. i hope your videos help. you are the only one i see that has multiple in a list so im sure even if my playstyle winds up being different i will refer to these.
I was pissed about an hour ago that there is no coop or multiplayer.... Only solo open world. Honestly is awesome... But it will get lonely for people that enjoy play with friends
I know this is an older video, but steam has it only listed as a single player game, but that's all it says so it may just not be updated yet because it doesn't say steam achievements or anything like that either.
I was glad to find your video of this training tutorial as I have been working through it myself. I was looking to see if anyone had a good way of dealing with the left side Puma; I can see that you struggled with it as well. I was hoping; though I knew it was unrealistic that my mortar fire would strike a lucky hit. Someone in this thread suggested something that I considered but didn't know if it could be pulled off in doing a close assault on the Puma. If I can figure out how to pop smoke I will give this a try. Tutorials are meant for learning; I have no problem in going through this multiple times looking for a better method. Another very good idea was to hold off firing the PTRD. I was actually considering putting tighter firing arcs on all of the units to give less chance of retreat for the Germans. In my 2nd try I lost 2 of my tanks on the road to the Shreks. Those are the second most dangerous unit I've found in this scenario. Thanks for covering this scenario!
Bagration ended up with the destruction of Army Group Centre. Pyotr Bagration was a Russian General during the Napoleonic wars. A sniper is actually the intelligence gather of the battlefield, taking out key personnel when the opportunity arises. Best keep them under cover, in this game I can recall only one example of a sniper turning the battle around. He took out a HQ Tank commander of a Tiger tank which affected the morale. After the incidence the game turned my way.
"Pubg and fortnite have started" they where not what started BR. The true start was a Japanese film called Battle Royal. Plus there not even the first games. H1Z1 was before them for one example.
You havent mentioned the game only has ONE gamemode, only a few maps and units sit behind a grind/pay to win/level-up wall which kill the point of an RTS; how is that competitive to you? pointless review, thumbs down.
Good video - The deck building has always been a struggle for me and frankly caused me to put this game down. I appreciate your efforts/advice, will give it a try again :) Happy New Year!
i would prefer it if they could use inspiration from 0AD team. And build a game that is set in that time period. Some very dedicated people have worked on it. And it's systems make full sense to me.
Good Video, I went with base of fire with one squad split, Sniper and MG units and the two Armored cars on the left..... After base of fire was established moved the Scout sections towards "attack Route with one squad moving behind as well as HQ. When the T-34's arrived we had good view of enemy.. T-34's supported destruction of elements on Hill while being in cover. Moved base of fire squad to rejoin HQ at 'Attack Route".... assaulted Hill with one T-34 and both BA-64's... Meanwhile the Snipers and MG suppress AT-Gun.... very fun scenario.
If you want a F2P rts....one that is truely F2P you should give Starcraft 2 online a shot. It has a decent population and a pro league. its a very good rts and not pay to win.
Honestly I think this would be interesting era's; Prior to the Sumerians, there were people in Varna, Bulgaria in 4500 BC, who buried their dead in a cemetery with gold necklaces, armor, tools and helmets. In India, the early stages of the Indus Valley civilization were beginning in Haryana around 7500 BCE. In Saudi Arabia, horse tamers were making statues of their equines around 7000 BC. A walled city with towers was built in Syria around 10,000 BC. A city in Turkey, near Syria, was built with T-shaped sandstone pillars that had animal scuptures in low relief. It was occupied from 11,500 BC to 8200 BC, and modern people call it Gobekli Tepe. In Japan, Jomon people were making ceramics in 13000 BC. In Amazonia, people were farming and making ceramics in 8000 BC. Mummies covered with clay and paint were found in a desert in South America, dating from the same period.
One thing you can do is pop smoke and assault the Puma. I've taken out Stugs this way with a few infantry squads in forest - the infantry will toss grenades when they get close, and sometimes the crew will get shocked and bail out, and you can gun the crew down.
You might know this already but - when soldiers still have a red "+" while on the ground, they're wounded but not dead (which will display a skull and crossbones). If you can make the area safe, other troops positioned overtop of them will try to patch them up.
I found it tends to improve their moral, because left unattended some will die. In Vietnam no Australian unit left a wounded mate on his own. I can understand medics are a necessity public opinion was bad enough as it was.
First of all - liked this and the rest of the stuff in this series. Great job and I assume you will be right there when SD2 is released to make this sort of vid for that game. That would be great! However! I've been watching deck building tutorials for the last year, and I realize my problem is never really discussed.. What division should I pick? Most tutorials (and yours does too) assume you I selected a division and want to know how to effectivly fill that. But I don't have a favorite division to pick. I want to pick the division that will fit my playing style and get proficient with it!
