Nice antenna! Maybe you want to try the one from electronics unmessed? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-igxA3enW-6A.htmlsi=Kzd4mSExbcZtL0MN
Clip or close a few links or diodes for alternate options 5KHz, 12.5KHz maybe, if I remember correctly. CTCSS had not been needed in the 1980s' though, so maybe an option to add. Just found mine to get to know again.
Man have things changed I lived in the valley Reseda Canoga park Chatsworth from 1960to 1987. I miss the old valley. Had some good times. Thank you for your video. Hope to see more. Have a great day 😎
Back about the late 70's , I remember my local bike shop selling a bolt on side hack to fit 20" BMX bikes. Imagine what could be done with today's technology using aluminum tubing.
Copper is about times more conductive than steel, so it would be a better choice. I've made good antennas out of speaker wire. Stranded is better than solid.
Wow. I got my "regular boy's" haircut at that barbershop (on the right)...early 60's. By the way, there a great pic looking back through the intersection toward such iconic places as the Reseda Theater, Big Donut, etc. I think it's called "Reseda 1963."
Wonderful video. Can you recall how the top comes off? I have the finial and the screw out but have not taken the bottom off yet. Does the top dome lift off or are there other screws to remove? Thank you.
