Is that straight pipe?? Or 3 inch exhaust if 3 all 3 or the muffler different? And what is the inch of the header, if you can explain the whole setup of the exhaust ☺️
Hej!
Sounds brutal amazing. I just did an exhaust on my sl 55. I did a mid muffler delete and flow master mufflers on the back. It's not enough for me though. Should I replace the factory h pipe with a bigger after market x pipe? Will it make a difference? Thanks !
Thx man! Nice to hear about your SL55! The h/x-pipe change will make the sounds a little bit more different due to the "change" of the exhaust flow/puls, but I think its the flow master mufflers in your setup that might be to "quiet". Start with the h/x-pipe change and see if that is solve your sound "issue", if not, remove or modify the mufflers. Cheers!
The car is currently sold, but regarding your question, I unfortunately do not have exact information as parts have been changed during the project, but roughly calculated; engine and gearbox $8k, tires and handling $4k and other parts $2k, so $14k excluding the car itself.
@@JWMotorsport thats a good money to fun ratio still when it costs around 18k with the car. the sound is so amazing. like a huracan v10 sound but for much less the price. What car do you get now after the s60 t5 ?
Den här ”refinement” serien du har på din kanal med 3 ”parts” gör mig så jävligt sugen på 9-5 aero😫(inte att jag aldrig var sugen på det innan jag såg dom videorna)
Hi man, I got a 2006 s60 t5 m66. It got totaled, the engine and trany is A1, I would like to swap it in a another car (lighter if possible lol not in a s60R) do you have any idea in what car it would fit?
It depends! If you remove the catalytic converter without decoding it in the ECU the check engine light will usually come on, but if you remove the catalytic converter in the ECU along with the tune (usually it's the second lambda you decode) the light will not come on.
Did you replace the cluster rpm /speedo by any chance?? Because the only Volvo 5 cylinder were the redline is a 7K rpm is the non turbo and also the R. The T5 and the 2.4t/2.5t engines the redline is a 6k rpm.
No it's stock cluster from T5 2005. The cluster rpm have "soft/hard" red zones, between 6k-7k there is red but with thinner lines and between 7k-8k same but with thicker lines in the cluster, and I think this is what you see in the video because the GoPro doesn't see the thin red lines between 6k-7k correctly. The R version is actually have the redline at 6800 rpm (two thin lines and the rest is thicker lines) and the non turbo (2.4 140hp/170hp) is the same as in my car, soft/hard red zones with red start at 6k, at least here in Sweden.
@@JWMotorsport Yea am aware about the non turbo 2.4 168bhp redlining at 7K and the R like i mentioned but the 140bhp is 6K as well like all the turbo ones have seen and owed. Am sure the facelift 2.4 T5 like yours redline at 5800/ 6K rpm too but like you explained the facelift has soft/hard redline zone that the go pro quite couldn't see at night.
Is it a s60r AWD or FWD? I have a s60 2.4 T5 2007 FWD and I would like to modify it like you, however, I would like to know if it does not have problems with the traction of the car with that power. Also, could you pass the measurements of the rims please? Greetings
Hi, It's an FWD T5 with an Quaife differential, otherwise it sure had been problem with the traction. So if you're planing to modify your car, add an differential and good tires to your "to-do" list, since it's an FWD. The rims are 19x8,5" Advanti Racing Vulkan. Cheers mate
