Some true crime stories deserve another look. Welcome to “More to the Story” with H. Allegra Lansing.
This channel includes content inspired by my 2019 book “The Manson Family: More to the Story” and information on my forthcoming book “Sid and Nancy: More to the Story.”
As you say not all member of the Family were psychopaths. Most were searching for something different in their lives, something that conventional, middle class normality would not afford them. It was a time when it became fashionable to rebel against mores and folkways and question the fundamental underpinnings of society especially when it carried the stench of hypocrisy. Not surprisingly a guru like Manson would appear to be an attractive alternative for an individual in that state of mind.
I believe charles manson re named his followers because he convinced them he was jesus and jesus renamed his disciples , they were all mentally disturbed people clearly the way squeezy speaks and acts is disturbing so was sandra good out of their minds proudcts of their environment murderers so they deserved to stay in prison
To send a family member. Away. to a life of abuse and loneliness for money. sounds. Like. George. Was a querl Man , was. She part owner of the. Ranch and he didn't. Want. To. Share any of money that belongs. To her many brothers and sisters. Use the insanity card to get all of inheritance .❤😂
Awhile back while watching the video that Jay Sebring's nephew made of him Sharon's attorney was interviewed. He said that in the weeks before Sharon's death she had him file divorce papers against Polanski. Sharon was murdered before Polanski could be served them.
Your book on the Manson Family is brilliantly insightful so I'm thrilled you keep digging up more material and telling "the more to the story" that really matters. Nicely done.
@albundy666 Yeah it’s a bit of a mystery. It’s not like he didn’t know exactly who they were, or what had happened to his own brother, but he just popped in one day for pictures and as far as I can tell, didn’t hang out again. Kinda weird!
@@HAllegraLansingI'd wondered about that guy, too, thanks for clearing it up...so he was Beausoleil's brother and he just happened to turn up the day Life did a photoshoot? Seems a hell of a coincidence..maybe Life arranged for him to be there for some reason? I've not read the article that goes with the shoot- any reference to him in that?
Mary is someone I would love to hear her side of things. But don’t think we ever will. She and many of the others are so lucky this happened when it did. Because they’ve gotten the chance to move on and live majority of their lives in peace. If this happened today, that would never be possible. They would be found and hounded immediately.
@@SmallPotatoes-j2c Again, no profit and no lie. I’ve covered the notion of motive extensively here including putting Helter Skelter into its proper place but the crimes happened, the convicted did it, and the Family and its philosophies are supported by 50+ years of evidence including the first interview Charlie gave (to Rolling Stone magazine) right after the indictments.
@@HAllegraLansing You seem to be stuck on Paul Watkins. He would go along with the lie just to disassociate from it. That has to do with his income & reputation does it not?
Barbara Hoyt is guilty by association. She got Charlie his contract. Then they stole his music made a fake documentary about it and blamed it on Charlie.
