These are actually ZEBRA sharks. Leopard sharks are in the genus Triakis. They look somewhat similar, but leopard sharks don't have a spotted pattern, and the shape of their tails is different. Both are considered harmless to people, in that they are usually quick to flee, are generally docile, and don't have mouths big enough to cause extreme damage to a person even if they were to attack.
I know right. I get so annoyed when people mix up zebra sharks and leopard sharks. Leopard sharks are way thinner and smaller with a completely different pattern
