Thank you Dr.Ong. I (68 y.o. in decent health and weight) recently quit taking my new BP medicine (HCTZ w Lisinopril) because of side effects and will be speaking with my PCP soon. With numbers around average of 145/78, I don't feel like I'm a candidate for meds yet.
I was taking Lisinopril l almost died from taking it so now l can't take any ace inhibitor my blood pressure was 140/80 but l was sick all may last year when to my pcp my blood pressure was 137/76 so he took me off my blood pressure medication l am 77 years old

Very informative. My mother had very late onset schizophrenia (over 80 yrs old) along with dementia, depression, anxiety and Parkinson’s disease. She was since past at 93 yrs. old. I wish there was training and/or education more readily available for family and caregivers of those with psychiatric disorders. While she was in assisted and nursing facilities, I was simply given the diagnosis with no information or direction for education about the diagnosis. A list of medications I was not familiar with was not enough. Putting this information on RU-vid is very helpful.
