Ah, Avril Lavigne. Such unique beauty. Such wild charm. Such youthfully ebullient brilliance. She was one of the embodiments of 2000's charisma and spunk. When I was a 10-year-old boy back in 2002, I enjoyed "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi" so much, and I still enjoy those songs as a 32-year-old continuously thriving scholar. I felt the ebullient rebelliousness in her mezzo-soprano voice when listening to those songs and subsequent ones that she sang. There was a youthfulness in her manner not only vocally but physically. In her youthful prime in the early 2000s, she displayed an unapologetic rawness and depth in her songs that reflected her songs' lyrical I coming to terms with growing from a precocious young girl to a fully realized young woman. They also reflect the challenges her lyrical I endures in her growth from her romantic feelings with boys to finding her own identity. Thus, I still love Avril Lavigne, the songs that she sang during the 2000's, and everything she represented in her youthful prime.
Fabs, I have been wanting to express my thoughts on Are You Afraid of the Dark for the longest time. I have always enjoyed Are You Afraid of the Dark's haunting yet brilliant charm since I was a young lad. The Midnight Society members from Gary to Tucker throughout all seven seasons were brilliant in their own special ways. Each of the tales they told kept my interest pumping through my veins in the most exciting way possible. My seven personal all-time favorite episodes from this horror anthology show are "The Tale of the Silver Sight Parts 1 to 3", "The Tale of Cutter's Treasure Parts 1 and 2", "The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner", "The Tale of the Shiny Red Bicycle", "The Tale of Locker 22", "The Tale of the Midnight Madness", and "The Tale of the Sorcerer's Apprentice." I can go on and on about several episodes I love with all my heart, but I would be here all day. Sure, some of Are You Afraid of the Dark's television effects might seem dated by today's standards. Nonetheless, the writing, the characters, the various scenarios, and a great chunk of stories based on fairy tales, horror stories, urban legends, and myths revolving around strange creatures are always worth multiple upon multiple watches. Hence, Are You Afraid of the Dark's rewatch value is rich and high in my eyes.
I liked this one. I liked the story, the two leads, and I liked seeing a 'fly on the wall' take on the Jonestown type of scenario. Folks having 'fake smiles' on and yet there is something under the radar going on...I thought it was pretty good for what it was.
Ti west if you didn't know, disowns cabin fever 2 mainly because he was working on another film and the studio ended up taking control over it, than he ended up wanting his name removed from the film but didn't happen
I don't consider this to be a proper movie. It's only a bad joke. They really should not release this neither on the platforms or theaters. Maybe for free on the band's site.
The new Hollywood drags, i swear to God. Its because of dogshit like this. Romulus is the humunguous definition of one train wreck after another. If i want to watch an Alien film, i'd revisit both the original and the 1986 follow up Aliens, not those indulgent retellings of the story. Theres no measured balance anymore in the film industry. None whatsoever. That kind of miniscule. Great rant on this undesirably dumb as fuck sequel, Fabs.
Hey Fabio thanks for reviwing this movie, im really glad you enjoyed it, i knew it would be right up your alley and that you would find it fun, one that never gets talked about when body swap movies are mentioned..Definitely one that deserves to be in the collection
in my top 5 Dudley Moore movies... this movie... Santa Claus The Movie... Unfaithfully Yours, Arthur and Arthur 2 On the Rocks. I really love this movie, so much fun! great review Fabio!
Son of The Mask is the worst The Mask film of all-time and one of the worst films of the century. The film is a disgrace to The Mask, it's an insult than The Mask and it's the worst excuse for a stand-alone sequel (yes, that's right, it's a stand-alone sequel). They should've cancelled it because they cancelled a direct sequel to The Mask entitled "The Mask II". I saw the teaser to the film when I went to see "Return of the King" in theatres (when Son of The Mask was then known as it's working title "The Mask is Back") back in 2003 and I knew the film is going to be garbage a year and two months before it got released (though Son of the Mask was originally going to be released in 2004, but it got moved to February 18th, 2005). My friend, who is a fan of both The Mask (both the film and the comics) and Jim Carrey did not like the sequel at all. He didn't like it because Jim Carrey wasn't in it. I didn't bother to see it because it was a disgrace to The Mask.

Originally Beetlejuice was going to be a lot darker. Michael McDowell's version was absolutely chilling!! It had characters such as Swallow Tail and Cathy Deetz. As well as Lydia's mother Evelyn.
