Rode this yesterday… it’s come a long way since it was mind eraser… I’m on fence with how the harnesses feel. Appreciate not having my head smashed like old days but those were really “lifting” restraints 😅
@@tecnica2001 The original Mind eraser at least made me feel super secure, there were a couple spots those "newer" seats gave me a shake, i get thats the design but was just unnerving in a couple spots. Wicked Cyclone is my go to these days, i do miss the old wooden cyclone that used to stand too.
Love the JJ Ultima! It's one of my favorite cars in my collection and actually handles high grip pretty well! Was running mine in the 17.5 class all winter and not one part broke and it kept up just fine with the modern buggies. Would really love to see what mine could do in more talented hands.
Savox Servo, Traxxas Titan Motor, and Associated Brushed ESC, shorty lipo, i usually source my parts from eBay, 95% of the time😁👍 Congrats on the Truck, they are awesome racers👍
Today I found your channel and I'm atonished! Many excelent, challenging projects that are well explained. I really enjoy seeing them in one place. I have a small 30+ year RC car/parts collection, mostly Associated and Yokomos's. I think I have many of the parts for this B1.5 project, so I'm taking notes! I will resume the hobby a couple of years from now in my retirement. Keep the good thing going!!! (BTW as a puertorrican living in Gurabo, I love the PR flag painted on those bodies, just sweet!)
Weepa, seguro, tenemos que representar nuestras raíces😁👍 🇵🇷 thank you for the compliment, my uncle bought me my first r/c truck for a Christmas in Vega Baja, PR… and I’ve been doing this for 33 years😁👍
He rode Steel Vengance 4 times last year, and we’re riding Iron Gwazi in August😁👍 Wicked Cyclone is his favorite at Six Flags New England, he’s not crazy about Wild Cat’s Revenge for some reason🤷♂️ We also rode Goliath at Six Flags Great America👍
Thanks for coving the front suspension in such good detail. People like myself who are not quite as advanced in RC knowledge really benefit from your video. I was also impressed by how neatly you dressed up your wiring. Great job! 👍🏁
I bent the nose plate to take away a bit of kick up, on turf I usually run 1 degree negative camber on all 4 corners, and usually glue the tire sidewall to dumb down the steering a bit😉👍
Good job bro that thing is sick my first rc was rc10 gold pan with 6 gear trans the. I got a new one with the steath trans and rc10T. . Some ripper if set up right.
Bumpsteer! That's the tern used for toe gain during suspension travel. You are 100 percent on the right track, as it is usually a steering/suspension geometry issue.
Yes, you are correct….when the car is in motion, toe gain (in, or out) during up or down suspension travel, causes bump steer… didn’t use the term because the car was static and I was simply demonstrating how it would toe in and out when the suspension was goin up and down 😉👍
Nah, it’s too time consuming, and some of the parts have to be hacked up, for my personal car it’s ok, but I wouldn’t want someone else to have something less than perfect🤦♂️
If you notice the video where you run it every time it jumps it lands on the side where the battery is, there are several ways to remedy it, the easiest and most economical is to place the servo, receiver and esc on the side of the chassis where the motor is from the front to the back and the battery on the opposite side, keeping the chassis in a 50/50 distribution, you can also use 2 small lipos connected in parallel on each side of the belt , you can also copy the way that HPI has used since the mid '90s to be able to put the battery in the middle of the chassis without touching the belt.Keep experimenting and you will see that you can polish that diamond.🏆👍🏻🇵🇷
