Found this interview, been trying to get that judges license for a few years now. Not giving up hope. Inspired by both of you & I appreciate the insight. Saludos from the San Fernando Valley.

Cesar and I have a few things in common I also joined the Marines at 17 with my mother consent and was also stationed at Subic Bay Philippines but unlike Cesar I didn't go into law enforcement I was still connected to the streets being a white dude growing up in a Chicano neighborhood with gangs I didn't allow myself to be punked and I would fight and got good at it so I got a reputation as a fighter in my Burrio I also started boxing at 12 yrs old at the local Boys Club and continued to box after the Marine Corp. so when I got out of the Marines my best friend growing up his family contacted me and wanted me to work for them they had became the biggest drug suppliers in the area and beyond so when they needed someone they could trust and would be ready to defend and protect the family and there day to day business operations I felt honored plus they were family to me and I loved them even though they where in the drug business they didn't advocate the use of drugs in fact they would constantly be lecturing me and their children and the people that worked for them if they found out you were using you were gone anyhow unlike Cesar my security detail wasn't legal or lawful but just like every other ex-gangster that are still around to speak about that life I had to change my illegal and dangerous lifestyle because if you want to live a long life and free from prison you have to change before it's to late believe me gangsters don't retire they get retired and that's what happened to me I was busted but getting busted probably saved my life now I'm proud to say that life is behind me and one more thing I have in common with both Popeye and Cesar is favorite boxers mine are Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar De La Hoya, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, and Muhammad Ali and music I'm an oldies but goodies, soul, funk, blues, and I love country music if you want to listen to real country music you got to listen to Merle Haggard he's the real deal anyway great interview keep up the good work the youngsters today need to pay attention and learn from people like you Popeye and Cesar there is other paths to take to get out Barrio and it doesn't have to be by way of prison or a coffin. ✌
when the cameras aren't around you treat people like shit, you like to bring people down just to bring yourself up and that's not real. I understand what happened to you wasn't your fault but you are bitter towards people who want to learn boxing. The way you ridiculed me and treated me wasn't fair. I didn't even know you for a whole week and you treated me like a joke.
