richer fuel ratios specially at lower rpm to allow for higher ignition advance will hurt your fuel economy but this will dramatically improve partial throttle response
The tune is a waste of money and will set the RPMs high on cold start and will cause a clinking noise everytime you reverse. I know from firsthand experience with my TRD 2023.
I know from first hand experience with my 2024 XSE V6 with the D3 tune that none of the things this dude above describes has happened to me. Zero issues or clicking when in reverse and cold start is normal.
@@AdmiralWright was actually the automatic parking engaging and disengaging. Tune is still a waste of money on a fwd car with no limited slip. It sounds cool with the CAI though. Everything is good now.
That North NJ / NYC accent is terrible … I only could watch 2 mins but the kit is actually from British company HARROP who goes this for Lotus since they use the Toyota engine.. this kit is derived from that ..Soo isn’t like getting a Lotus Evora for 80% off
Thank you for addressing this topic. MPG is equally as important to me as a safe, spirited drive a few times a week (I drive a lot for work). If the tune is unavoidably dropping fuel efficiency, then it's not worth it from a cost to fun perspective for me and would defeat the purpose of choosing the V6 in the first place. Sounds like I'll be sticking to my K&N air filter upgrade as my only performance mod for the foreseeable future 😊
Man I have the magnaflow on my TRD and I love it but I kinda wanna try removing the muffler from this system and keep the J pipes in back. In theory that should give me the straight pipe tone while keeping the drone canceling benefits of leaving the J pipes. What do you think?
My 23 2.5L Camry city I get like 28 sometimes 30 and highway like 40 almost and I’m getting the d3 Tuesday, even with that I’m easy on the gas a lot anyway, I heard the d3 helps also with transmission shifting everyone has said so that’s 1 reason why I am, since mine is 4 cylinder I’m sure I’ll still get good mpg especially I’m gonna rune the 87 octane tune.
Camry XSE V6 is so much better as higher ground clearance, does not require careful placement to rise on a lift for repairs, less chances to damage the body, it has 40/60 rear split seats, JBL sound system is avail as Option for TRD, panoramic sunroof, 10-inch color HUD, ventilated cooled seats, dual zone climate control, a 7-inch digital display in the instrument panel, and also has a 9-inch Infotainment Display. The reason to get the Camry TRD is living and driving where there are no potholes and the road surface is always smooth. You are only able to afford the cheapest method of obtaining a V6 in the Camry line up. You want to be a show off, even though the Camry TRD is not a Sports Car. Next problem, any Camry can obtain TRD accessories therefore, the TRD Camry is not exclusive or unique. Overall, The Camry TRD is not worth having. On the other hand, the best of all Camry trims is the Camry XSE V6 fully loaded. Avoid all Hybrids and EVs as they are not the future and have many unresolved issues. The Camry SE is for low budget, next best is the Camry XSE AWD, and finally the Camry XSE V6. Oh! the Camry XSE V6 with all its outstanding amenities has a higher resale value.
