This was when TV was fun to watch. No profanity, nudity, just a great show to watch. Its not why can’t they make programs like this anymore, they just don’t want to,because it don’t fit their narrative. What a Shame.
That's a good point, however. How do you know that just because someone put something in paper doesn't mean it's true There has always been plenty of stuff printed that is not based in reality.
I just love Festus!!! Ken Curtis did an awesome job portraying him!!! What a fantastic, great actor!!!! I truly miss actors like him and James Arness!!! How can anyone not love Festus??? 🥰❤️🤗❤️
Why are so many videos recorded blury these days ? Takes all the fun outa watching it. If a video is blured or otherwise defective it is no video at all. Straight forward its a fuck you is what it is.
I love that story especially when he starts saying reading and writing and writing and reading don't you see and him and Doc get into it all the time just love it. It's classic
One of them Fellers Lol Ken Curtis was one of the best it seems so natural for him to speak this way and yet to hear him sing it was so different he was such a great actor and a great singer and performer he is missed so much
Sorry, I just noticed this post.. We bought it built but it looked like a home made axle. I'll ask my boy and see what he remembers of it. I made him sell it, way too wicked at high speed lol
I had sold the car to a guy in Missouri and was making that video for him. I hated to sell it but I have too many projects and really didn't have time to drive it much. I think I put less than 100 miles on it in the last two years I had it and a car like that needs to be run more than that, The 49k miles on the odometer were original miles and figured the new owner could turn it over the 50k mark. It was a fun car to drive and got a lot of compliments on it.
'Think it's easy playing a podunk hayseed like Festus ? That's some great acting folks , Festus just made it look so easy and so natural ! Great acting Festus , R.I.P.
You very thank you very kindly for the opportunity to watch G-rated cartoon style on Gunsmoke and Wagon Train and other shows that are like Disney and their G-rated like cartoons thank you for the opportunity to watch these good shows that aren't full of all the modern-day sickle stuff thank you so sincerely
So glad that they are airing these Gunsmoke episodes on MeTV now. It was on too late for me to watch as a kid, but I really enjoy the show now, and see why it was a favorite of my dad.
It wasn't any "Have to" situation lol. Grandma owned her own beauty shop for 30 something years. She was also still very independent, or at least she felt she was. Her coloring Mom's hair was something she offered to do... She was a special lady. She actually went down on her 100th birthday and got her drivers license renewed. ;)
There were episodes where Chester showed remarkable heroic resolve such as the episode called. ex urbanites that featured Ken Curtis as part of a duo who caused problems for Doc and Chester. Chester ended up removing a Bullitt from Doc and saving his life by providing liquid protein nourishment to sustain Doc after the Bullitt was removed. Chester had to shoot Doc's horse to provide that.
I am looking for an episode of Gunsmoke where Festus, Ken Curtis, is singing a song in the Long Branch Saloon. Can someone please help me. It is a b/w episode.
One of the absolute high points in TV comedy. The choppiness of this scene suggests that the actors had great difficulty controlling themselves. I'm also curious as to why Kitty's dialog is looped.
+Larayne Gallardo Poster Tenolin is absolutely right. April 28, 1991. He passed away in Fresno, California. So sad to think about. There is an online site dedicated to Ken where they've published a final farewell to his family, friends, and fans. It is very touching and made me cry. Something tells me that Mr. Curtis was definitely touched by an angel with his talent and his big heart 😇
