Here's the cut out section from the description: This game feels like it's so unfriendly to new players trying to learn the game. There are so many characters, moves, and "synergies" (i think is the word) that basically state "fuck neutral and fuck all fundamental skills", so you have to play around that, play around the C assists/other annoying assists like vegeta and janemba, and then play around all the other defensive options that they have (usually they just pick a few favourites). It feels like such hard work compared to what they do. And then there's autocombo autotracking, properties, range and whatever, and the entire superdash mechanic. Probably some other stuff I've forgotten about as well. And oh god the C assists and the characters. I am not joking, 95% of players I matched against use C assists, and most of them use at least 2. And of course most of those have stupid properties like invincibility, armor, vertical tracking, or broken speed (Cell). The horizontal tracking seems to be weird, too - they sometimes appear where you *will* be instead of where you are, especially apparent with moves like blue goku's divekick. As for the characters, the most annoying ones like gogeta 4, blue vegeta, and videl are everywhere. I have a hard time reacting/responding to anything really, but the speed and/or option count on some of them is ridiculous. If they're built to stand a chance against top-level play but their tools are so easy to use that newbie players can spam a lot of them, how is a low-level player like me intended to adapt to them and consistently punish? I tried going into practice mode to learn reacting before, and I couldn't do it. I just don't have the reaction speed. Of course, that means I'm never going to be a top-level player to begin with, but I never had that intention anyway. I just like Dragon Ball, not fighting games, I've been a fan for over 20 years. To add to that, if these are things that a low-level player can use very easily but it takes a high-level player to easily counter them (i.e. they become useless), isn't that an even bigger problem? It's a crutch, it prevents players from learning the game properly even more. Since I mentioned practice mode earlier - I started noticing that a lot of people people are lab rats, they've trained a specific thing (usually a combo or few) and are "good" at that, but blatantly lack skill in most other areas. That just makes it more frustrating to fight against them and it makes me mad at the game surprisingly, not the player. But then let's say you do get a good player (or a smurf, there's a surprising lot of them for some reason). Very often they completely disrespect you. I assume in their mind, they learned the game and went through this shit, they have all the rights to abuse new players with teabagging and ki charge-mocking and whatever. I don't even know what I'm supposed to say to that, I would say they're toxic assholes, but my point stays - it doesn't encourage new players to stay and learn the game. Now you would probably suggest playing casual instead of ranked. But casual is worse. Casual is where people who are done with ranked or (probably) high-level people who want to try out a different team go. Setting aside the characters and assists there, there's no game to play except for getting hit/in a blockstring in 10 seconds, failing to block real fast, and dying in 2 hits (and most of your time is spent watching the enemy's combos). "Casual"ly getting destroyed. I'm not here to argue whether that's the right way to play, but that's not what I'm looking for, I'm looking for opponents of around my level to play and learn the game with - which is what ranked should be about (the whole point of elo here is to match balanced players together). And then you start getting players at 2-3+ million BP and 10-25x playtime (16000 matches!?) as 800k BP so that's a nice ranked system. What the fuck. And they still run top characters and C assists. The worst of all is the frequency. The problems I mentioned above, the clips shown in the video, and much, MUCH more that isn't shown happens every single match. It's always there, messing with you, you never get a break from it. You could deal with frustration if the game was fun most of the time and only some matches were like that, but no, it's every match, just to a lesser or greater extent. I've barely met any opponents I would want to fight again, and even those still run top characters, it's just that they're seemingly trying to play/learn the game the way I am.
You are not wrong, unfortunately, that is simply the nature of DBFZ; I would say that it is currently one of the worst fighting games for a new player to learn.
You are both correct. In trying to make the game easier they gave top players and more experienced players tools to abuse newer players. C'assists was a horrible idea. They should have just given 3 equal assist options. They made Adult Gohans (and others) best assist a C'assist. I don't even want to use it, why couldn't it just be a regular beam? The team neutral is very difficult for players who are new to team games let alone fighting games. This was my 3rd ever Japanese style fighter and I was never great at MVC so it's was rough starting out. You have to deal with getting treated like kid Gohan to get better.
How did you record this Video? The audio quality is terribly Muffled. Are you using some kind of Audio Driver Equalizer controller? Like RealTek HD Audio Manager? Too much Bass.
NVIDIA ShadowPlay and using none of those nor anything else I'd know. The only thing that could be messing with it is the SteelSeries app for my headphones but I don't know if that would even make it into the video. First time I hear about audio though, and I have a lot of unlisted videos that friends see. I will say that the SteelSeries app is obnoxious, maybe it does do something.
@@MrFlashlt is there any Band Equalizer inside SteelSeries app? Try to flat out the audio first. OR, try to reduce the Bass. And then record video again, and then upload again to RU-vid. But remember to ONLY upload it at 1440P resolution. Why? if you don't have 10K + Subscribers, RU-vid will automatically transcode your video to AVC + AAC which significantly Butchering the Video & Audio Quality. So if you upload at 1440P, RU-vid will transcode it into VP9 and OGG, which is far better quality. Also, inside NVidia Shadowplay, there's Audio options. Try to play around with that.
Thanks, I'll keep this in mind if I decide to make another video, but I'll keep this one up and I have no plans to make another public video because I did pretty much all I wanted to do in DMC. For SteelSeries app I have no idea, it's been broken since forever and now it was just stuck "loading" (blank screen with spinner) while I was AFK for 30 minutes, so I've just removed it from my PC. I don't remember what was the need for it anymore. As for 1440P I definitely didn't do that for any videos up until now, I wasn't aware RU-vid does that. And thanks again for the tips.
Thanks but it's just because I have no particular plans or upload schedule, I just uploaded cuz I wanted there to be at least some videos of my favorite fights
I don't have the files nor the download link anymore, but you should be able to find this if you search for DMC 4 SE Deicida Must Die Cheat Table or debug mode. However I would first recommend God Must Die difficulty, available in Supertrainer V9. It also has many other great options.
