The Manly Women's Shelter (MWS) is a non-profit organisation supporting homeless women on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We provide a safe haven for women who - due to physical, emotional or sexual abuse, family breakdown, financial strife, domestic violence, mental health issues, lack of affordable housing - are homeless. Our goal is to help these women reclaim their lives and once again live in the community. Since we first opened our doors in 2010, more than 250 women have benefited from our services. www.manlywomensshelter.org.au facebook.com/manlywomensshelter
Going through a break up right now, with what was and is the best girl I've ever met. Days are weird and numb. Some better, some worse. This song has been on my head through the last days on loop. Can't say it's helping very much but at least gives me company through the hard times. Thank you Bon Iver ❤️
You need to add a part at the end, where the people who produced this video tell people to share and like, otherwise it'll go nowhere, this is important
Don't you cherish me to sleep Never keep your eyelids clipped Hold me for the pops and clicks I was only for the father's crib Hair, old, long along Your neck onto your shoulder blades Always keep that message taped Cross your breasts you won't erase I was only for your very space Hip, under nothing Propped up by your other one, face 'way from the sun Just have to keep a dialogue Teach our bodies: haunt the cause I was only trying to spell a loss Joy, it's all founded Pincher with the skin inside You pinned me with your black sphere eyes You know that all the rope's untied I was only for to die beside So it''s storming on the lake Little waves our bodies break There's a fire going out, But there's really nothing to the south Swollen orange and light let through Your one piece swimmer stuck to you Sold, I'm Ever Open ears and open eyes Wake up to your starboard bride Who goes in and then stays inside Oh the demons come, they can subside
This is the first song that I've heard him sing with his normal voice. He sounds like a better-singing version of Leonard Cohen. Good song! Good musician!
Justin, You take me back to the first place I fell in love in. Your voice takes me back to being 18, in college, in Seattle. Hearing you sing brings back the images of the ocean, the laughter I had with friends, and rhe beauty of the Pacific Northwest. You take me back.
This was already an incredibly beautiful and emotional song but that harmonica just melts my heart. Combined with an acoustic guitar and his voice just brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for everything you give us, Justin.
When I grow I wanna Bon Iver so much!! Just when I found the acoustic version of Calgary & deemed it the best version I find this harmonica blessed performance. Long Live Justin Vernon! Long live Bon Iver !!
i like his lyrics, you cant really understand what its about without very carefully listening to it over and over, and then still it doesnt tell you what its really about, it relates to you specifically.
40 years forward, I'll be sitting with my grandchildren and telling them how this amazing classic track is timeless and I still enjoy it till this day, and watch the reactions on their faces when they discover this track and start listening to it with their friends and starting to be into "classic music" Hahahaha.
