Oh for sure. They Definitely have no power up hills. The isg always goes bad. Fouls spark plugs. The only thing good about them is they’re quieter than other gas carts.
Hi I have a txt ezgo I have replaced nearly every electrical part and can’t get it to run. I replaced the ITS and faulty F and R switch, but once I installed the negative battery cable the back up buzzer started to work. But once I pressed on the pedal, I heard a pop in the solenoid area. I also noticed the buzzer still worked but didn’t run. The after market controller got fried. I installed a new solenoid and another spare controller but it is dead Jim. The back up buzzer sometimes sounds for half a second but not always but after flipping the tow to run. I checked the voltage and every wire and they all have continuity. Could it be the China made controller could that is faulty too? Please help.
Hey brother I got 2008 rxv. I just fully charged it and topped it off with distilled water. I took it out for a cruise and when I got back and plugged it in it gives me the 2blink red fault code It still functions goes and stops forward and revers but only a matter of time. Any insight?
Thanks for watching. Make sure you have access to power on your outlet. Could be the receptacle or the charger. Does all your connections on the battery look good. Check the ones on the. A positive and main negative. That come form the charger plug
yes i definitely have power because the charger indicates a fault code read and blinks red, terminals could use some attention but nothing to bad I’ve had way worse. Idk ill give them all good scrub tomorrow charge each 12v battery separately and see what happens from there
@@rhinoblunts7267 either a faulty charger or bad charging receptacle. On the back of your charger receptacle on the car. Is there a tag on it that says what version it is check the inside of the dc cord on the charger to make sure it’s not burnt also.
Great video the best i have found, I have 12v at the green limit switch when pedal is depressed., I also have continuity from the Light blue wire from switch to solenoid! But no 12 v when pedal is depressed. i also replaced ignition not sure if i wired it correct. my cart is a 2010 Ezgo st with the Kawasaki motor as well. HELP!!!!! please
Thanks for watching and commenting. And thanks for the words. Voltage leaves the foot pedal and goes to the keyswitch so check the keyswitch for voltage when you hit the gas. On both sides of the keyswitch. Black lead on main negative. Red lead on each side of keyswitch. Let me know what it shows
Hi I’ve been watching a lot of your videos trying to diagnose my 04 ego txt. It’s not going in forward or reverse. I started with the battery’s 6.3 on each then checked under power all added up to 36 volt. Moved to the controller when gas is pressed solenoid pulls in can hear it. Just bought the cart and the controller looks brand new I’ve rode it maybe 3 times. Anyways checked the solenoid and voltage running through also under power that’s good. Checked up at the controller voltage was good. Checked the IWS I believe it’s called? White wire it’s good as well slowly increases under load. After all that thought maybe motor was burned up. Pulled the wires off jumped the terminals and used a 12v battery motor spins great. So only thing I can think of is forward and reverse switch but not sure how to test it. If you could give some feedback love the videos!
Did you check voltage going out the controller. Red lead on a main positive and black lead on the m- post on controller. It’s the big post that’s closest to the battery. And tell me what you get.
It is a 2015 txt 51 volts at battery, switch, solenoid and controller. Replaced ITS, solenoid, micro switch and controller. Controller has 51 volts on B+ 0 volts on B- No voltage drop on M- when pedal is pushed. Solenoid clicks but no movement
I have what I believe is in 1996 TXt I put a lithium battery in it and when I drive the car if I press the gas too much it shuts off dead. What do i DO!!
What’s does the battery voltage drop too. Sound like a problem in the its. Which is in the floor board. Or low battery voltage. I know you just put it in a lithium. By would still check.
Bb what’s up man. Does it do it in forward and reverse. Or just in one direction. If it is gears it will do it in forward and then do it in reverse when you let go of the gas. Or vice versa also timing belt noise is coming.
@@bbrcummins1984 yeah either timing belt or starter bearing. Take the drive belt off the rear clutch. And that way you can eliminate the input shaft bearing in the rear end whining if you don’t know how to get it off let me know I have a video on how to remove belt.
In the beginning of the video you show 36 volts on all 4 wires coming from the two switch. I'm only getting 2 wires at 36 volts. Does this mean the contorllere is bad or the switch is bad? Is there way to confirm this?
@@lbj2642 unhook the orange wire off the back of the f n r switch and let me know if it still beeps in forward. If it does replace controller. What’s the background behind the cart. Or It just wouldn’t run one day. Or it broke down and you towed it home in run. Also when did the reverse buzzer start in forward.
Thanks for doing what you do so my rxv just shut down in the field full charge backup alarm works you can hear when turning on to forward and reverse but it won’t move even in tow mode. Once in a while you can push it maybe 3 feet then it locks up again. In your video you talk about the controller being updated in the video is that something I can do or would I need to take it to service. Thanks again.
It’s a 2009 RXV 48 volt so when in tow mode key in reverse buzzer sounds solenoid clicks turn to neutral solenoid click can push cart a couple feet then two loud solenoid clicks and it locks up. Batteries test at this point 50.9 volts
Thanks man. I hate videos that have a 5 min introduction. I. Look at it like I am watching a video to fix a problem. Nothing else. Hit that like and subscribe button for me
Im having trouble with a robins 2cylinder not having enough power especially going up hills. Do they have a governor like other small engines that i can adjust? Full throttle is no different than half throttle and ot doesn't flood out. I put a new carb on it because the old one was very dirty and easier to buy a new carb
I am going to share another video with you on how to check the back clutch. Also did you speed the cart up like in the video above. If you adjusted your spring like in the video. That is your governor.
Hey to all my viewers watch my brothers channel it’s about flying drones around mb sc ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kCKoUDTY1us.htmlsi=7nKSPwxOxKFaHIm4
I ran through your diagnostic on a 97 ezgo and got stuck at the second thing. I literally have power to every leg in the FNR switch. I labeled the 4 wires like a clock. I'm sure they are on right. As for the other 12 volt wires, it was a different setup
Have a misfire in a brand new L6 gas same motor as that S4 first couple fires on start up especially once hot. Sat on showroom floor 1 year before purchased. Bad or clogged injector possibly? Any other troubleshooting ideas? Other than that runs fine. Sounds like a misfire at random every so often as well while running but not big loss of power.
Is the gas bad in it? Does it backfire any. Normally if it’s fire related it’s coil. But if don’t backfire. Definelty chance of dirty injector or fuel pump. But I’ve noticed too. That if the dipstick has a little bit over filled it will cause it to act like your talking about. Take off the intake hose that hooks to the throttle body and wipe your finger inside the air hose and the throttle body. See if any oil is on your finger.
@@HeyHeyHey97 it doesn’t backfire. I’ve ran a full tank of brand new no ethenol premium through it probably near 25hrs at this point. But definitely has a knock first fire or two each time you give it gas. Just a small knock. Is there a way I could send you a video? Also I’m not far from you and could bring it in. It runs fine other than I can tell it only has about 80% power and that knock on first fire or two each time you hit the gas from a dead stop or slow roll
@@paullipowicz8911 post a video of what it’s doing on your channel and let me know when you post it and I’ll look at it and let you know. Where do you live at
@@paullipowicz8911 normally 2 options if has a knock. Could be the cam shaft. Because it has a spring on the cam that lowers compression so it’s easier to turn over and crank up. Or the side cover gasket is leaking I’ve seen that cause a knock several several times. Or it could be a ping which is fuel related. Or could be fire related
I have a two seater that we converted to a 4 seater. I added stronger leaf springs as well but it does not have a true "lift kit" installed. I recently put 6 brand new powertron golf cart batteries. When the batteries are fully charged, with a max weight of less than 500 pounds of people, the cart is getting a max range of 10 miles per fully charged. The batteries are less than 3 months old, and we were getting a lot longer distance with the older batteries. Do I have a bad battery, do I have a failing motor, suggestions? The cart also feels it has a short in it and will "beep" 3 times and stop running. You will have to release the pedal and reengage for it to go again. The startup acceleration is poor also. I checked each battery 24+ hours post a “full” charge. 5 of the 6 showed 6.4 while one showed 6.1. I checked again while charging and the 5 of 6 showed 7.4 but the other one showed 6.8. Any thoughts?
The 3 beep is a bad connection somewhere. Or weak battery voltage. When the cart quits that’s when you check voltage. Hold your foot in the brake and the gas and test each battery like that. Make sure all your wires are tight. And make sure all your connections are good.
If it’s a pds Ezgo and the sol clicks and stays engaged till you let go of gas. Check motor. If it’s a series cart and you replaced controller and the f n r looks good check motor.

Have a question having trouble with my E-Z-Go golf cart my motor is making a clicking noise and the reverse beeper was going off while it was in neutral and the starter solenoid was clicking without the key being on just sitting there trying to solve the problem it won’t move
No it’s been sitting there for about three months and I have to keep to charge it up Went out for the evening and came home and reverse beeper was going off for no reason
I put a little anti seize on the motor I reinstalled today. I kinda wished I would have marked my leads. I also had to rob a magnet from a speed sensor kit cause I broke it. I ran my jack in there and the magnet stuck to the jack and I ran over it or something.
