LOL WHEN I GOT OUT OF ARMY RESERVES OCTOBER 1967 ON A MEDICAL, THE ADRESS ON MY DD214 WAS ACCURATE. HOWEVER ON THE ACCOMPANYING PAPER WORK THEY HAD MY HOME ADRESS LISTED AS PRATT KS!! I NEVER EVEN PASSED THROUGH THAT TOWN! I DIDNT QUIBBLE ABOUT IT AND WALKED OUT! TWO WEEKS LATER MY RESERVE UNIT WAS ACTIVATED FOR NAM STARTING MAY 16 1968! I OFTEN WONDERED WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SOMEONE NOTICED THE MISTAKE!! LOL
You made a video of clicking around on TurboTax without explaining how to get the amounts needed to enter into TurboTax. I have been stuck on the recapture deduction page that you highlight at the 3:00 spot. Where do you get those numbers for box 1 and 2????
Question the federal tax due $6 is that how much is coming out from that taxes and were it says by refund is that the amount that will trigger come to us in check or get deposit to our bank?

Your DD214 is processed at the Transition Center; your Personnel Section/S1 is not involved in this process. Your Transition Center is supposed to give you a "sample" copy of the DD214 so you may review for errors, and for you to provide proof of any missing information that should be recorded on the form.
