I saw fluorescent blue, and dark-ish blue. No green. Tried it on 2 different monitors and my phone. Same on all 3. Are my eyes broken...? Which one is supposed to be green?

The one on the right is the green one. Not sure what that's about. It definitely looks green on my end. People have differing sensitivities to short-wavelength light (like that coming from the UV box), so maybe that's it.

Is it normal that I saw the green before you placed it under

The high concentration of the GFP may have had something to do with that! There's a lot of it in that little tube!

Hello Dr. O'Mealy, is glycogen stored in the phospholipid bilayer? How does that process work in that location if we haven't eaten in a while?
@geeoh87
@geeoh87 Год назад
Glycogen will be stored in the cytosol of skeletal muscle and liver cells. It's much too polar to be in the bilayer itself. If you haven't eaten in a while and your blood sugar starts to drop, your pancreas will secrete a hormone called glucagon, which will signal to these glycogen-storing cells to activate enzymes that will cleave glycogen back into glucose, which is then exported into the bloodstream.
