My name is Josh Hall and I wish to share with you my passion for riding motorcycles and the great outdoors. Follow me as I ride and camp. The channel will consist of motorcycles, motovlogging, travel, camping, motorcycle and motorcycle gear/accessories reviews, installs of accessories and just all around fun. Hope you enjoy the ride!
What's up Josh. Really like your intro and action shots. Glad you are okay from that spill. I am dreaming of my future strom(likely the 650) with some future motocamp adventures. Looking forward to other videos.
I've had mine since 2018. Love it more every year. Only maintenance I've done is oil changes and tires. It a never let me down. Got an Alaska trip planned for 2026.
Got one. 95,000km and counting. Traction control permanently turned off. ABS too intrusive. Fuel consumption matches throttle input and can be heavy if you're going hard, so range is an issue sometimes. Off road it's a total weapon and a ton of fun. On road, sport bikes hate me when it stays with em in the twisties. Two up is good. Wouldn't mind the new model with cruise control, but that means selling this one and paying the difference. So, I can live just fine without that option. Not planning on getting rid of it any time soon. Happy trails
Instead of pulling the abs fuse, just mount a switch. Also: my 2008 v-strom 1000 easily reaches 130mph unmodified. Sounds strange that you only reach 120mph.
So it’s awful with something that you cherish a heart and you have faith incorrect. Should I buy one that’s exact same color for 2000 bucks with 76,000 miles????
Interesting. I saw one with 91K miles on it going for $2K. Took it for a test ride. Don't have anything to compare it to. The wind protection on the highway was fabulous. Needs a little work.
Great idea to use the quarters; I'm glad I found this video. I just ordered a center stand for my V-Sstrom 800, so I found this video searching for a video for my specific bike. Thanks for the tips and tricks.
My V strom 2014 is with 47.000 km and still like 1st day. 90% I am driving on roads.. AMAZING Bike.. Full with sw motech upgrades. Sw motech alu "Koffer" are after 47tkm like new.
Hi josh, I just installed this windscreen on my 2018 vstrom 1000xt. When I max turn the handlebars left and right, my OEM hand guards hit this windscreen. Do you also have this issue?
Hi, I'm considering to buy the Puig windscreen for my Vstrom model 2017? Was is really a problem when you turned the handlebar to the max? Was is necessary to uninstall the hand guards or how did you solve the problem? Thank you for your answer. Grtz from Belgium
Vele groeten !
Thanks for the video. Eventhough the company is out of business, the Ion can still be bought at some discounters, at least in the Netherlands. I bought the ION 3 Pro, including 4 accesories for 9 Euro (around $10) and it seems to be working normally. It also probably has the older firmware since i can playback all video's i make with it. Looking at the comments, im glad i didnt update the firmware.
Dude, only 1700 miles in a year!?! I bought a 2006 on Saturday, 3 days ago, and have already put on 400. Lovely bike and kit but you spent a lot of money accessorizing before really knowing your needs…
Great review. The only thing I would differ on is the fact that traction control really is very useful in the rain. I ride all year round in all weather, so I use traction control in the winter months and it’s very helpful.
I have one (04)And still working good...I suggest that you put moore weight to front wheel .Sorry to say....Throw those side bannier away and put smaller soft banniers instead...Then you can find some moore miles....without gasstation. It is bad for bike to be so top heavy....
Bro, you saved me with this video. The instructions that came with the kit are shit. The springs were difficult but manageable with a large needle nose pliers. Thank you for your service. Apparently not all heroes wear capes 😊
How on earth did you manage this? I have a 2018 v Strom 1000. I bought Rox 2” risers. And there is literally no way I can pull any slack from the cables. But in this video you just pull the bars up like magic? Lol how did you accomplish this?
@@ridingwithjosh4364 install complete. left side sits 4mm higher then right side when on centre stand. all bushes etc greased, stand is STIFF, difficult to lift, and drop. ( stand was from the wreckers, all bolt holes lined up easy, no clearence issues) 🤯🤯
I've watched about 15 videos on motorcycle stealth camping and none of them really addressed how to find WHERE to do it. That Google Maps tip is priceless, I use it all the time, thanks mate! Also, cheers to the Hopsecutioner!
@@ridingwithjosh4364 Thanks for the info. both bikes made it out onto the lookout and back up the rocks, no issue. I've ridden street bikes and some dirt bikes. I'm looking into possibly a midsize adventure bike. I've subscribed and will watch your other videos.
Hi Josh, that bike sounds like it needs zero work doing to it. Just ride it until you have done 100 thousand miles and then do a rebuild. (you could do with a bit more charge in the battery for your ABS lights to stop flashing.)
Good to see you got your baby back. I often hear people wish that they still had their first really nice bike. I consider myself fortunate to still have my first Harley, now with 300k miles on it. Other bikes have come and gone, but that one stays. Like you said, "the memories". I'm wondering though; what are those 2 orange lights on the instrument panel? They flashed alternately, up and down all the time that you were riding.
