Added "in 3.23" to the title. TL;DR: Penance Brand of Dissipation got a 70-ish % nerf in 3.24. According to what I heard, it is still incredibly powerful, but will require more investment than before to make it viable in some content. For people who are curious, currently "Hexblast Miner Occultist" seems to be a solid choice of Sanctum blasting too.
66% exactly. It can still be good but usually requires a decent adorned now to be a sanctum blaster. It can still be done. On a more nitpicky note: nothing in poe is roguelike. Going by the actual, original definition, ALL roguelikes were turn based. ALL of them. People have simply inserted their own definitions of what a roguelike is now.
@@johnturtle6649 Thanks for the info. I'd love to try a low-ish budget version of Hexblast miner and PoD and see how it feels. Maybe next league. Also, I think the term "roguelike" isn't bound to turn-based or not. It probably was way back when with "Rogue", because old PCs didn't had the hardware then, but nowadays you have a large variety of roguelikes, thankfully.
@@DanielTheExiled Well, I agree definitely the definition has changed, I'm just a nitpicky purist for the original ideas. I saw one video where a guy was still doing 300 million dps easily with PoD, but it had the typical diallas and a decent charge ring coupled with kalandras, so the entry cost has definitely risen a bit. I think there was one where a guy had still managed 1 billion dps, but his didn't have a lot of proof backing it up so that ones still suspect. Most likely Hexblast is far easier and cheaper to get going now, as most sanctum blaster go either hexblast or ice trap now. I still think getting an adorned with at least 110% + is the cheap way to go for reaching easy dps numbers. Maybe target farming the mad king div card is a good starting strat to build sanctum runner, or just bulk buy the cards outright and hope for a well rolled adorned (or two!) I'd love to see you make another build trying this out for fun and see the results. If nothing much changes it could be a viable build for next league start maybe.
I should have mentioned what I meant and probably cut that out of my script. TL;DR: Eater of Worlds altars have a "Player" option that increases quantity and rarity of drops. Yes, reading the altars with EoW matters a lot - sadly 😅 Grimro has a great video on how to blast Legion but here is the second TL;DR. In the map Dunes, run all the way through not killing enemies, then kill the boss. Now you only get Minion and Player option on the altars. Proceed by killing all the monsters in the map and always choose the "Player" option. Only after all that, you do the Legions, because now every rare monsters will drop more loot - including the chests, I think. It is a bit tedious and risky to run through a map and pray you don't die on the way. If you are lazy and say "this sucks", I usually do Jungle Valley + Searing Exarch + Legion and go through the map once by exploding everything, including the Legion Spires. You have to loot many more bubblegum currency drops though, which can be tedious to some - like myself, who doesn't even pick up a single chaos orb anymore. Hope this wasn't too rambly. Godspeed Exile 🙏
@@DanielTheExiled thanks for the explanation man. I was wondering because I couldn’t find any empirical information anywhere, is it worth running the combined timeless domains yourself solo to sell timeless jewels? Some sell at incredible prices. Assuming a fast build with HH stacks.
@@wodzefag8062 In the end if you find it fun, go ahead. 👍I think I saw some build that explodes the entire screen and makes it super easy, but it might be a multi mirror build. I personally don't like it too much. The drops are meh and too RNG dependant. It also takes longer than blasting T17 barrels and probably has lower currency per hour.
Quality of content: like any 250k subscriber PoE-youtuber I take a look at the subscribers. ... there is a k missing... I instantly hit subscribe. Good work, buddy!
Imo one of the best leagues ever regarding actual fun the mechanic is crap af but u don’t have to do it. And people crying that they can’t make currency are just lazy or uninformed. I’ve got a week free atm and made around 200 div today. From delve and mapping sure I’ve gotten lucky in drops but half of that isn’t lucky drops it’s just playing and mapping. And I’m doing no crazy stuff lazy crop rotation. And I didn’t even have to spend that stuff I’m just to lazy to swap gem n boots between two builds.
To be honest, while writing the script and working on the video, I thought of including the 5th map device slot to some strategies in this video, but a few issues: 1. I didn't test it myself, nor would I have the time to do so, because making this video and trying strats took me a month already. 2. Most people might not finish T17 maps this league anyhow, which is fine. For the future, I'll try to do strats with a 4 slot map device first, to see if it is even profitable and then decide on using the 5th slot to get extra juice out of each map. Glad you enjoy the video😊🙏
I paid 23div for my HH like 3ish weeks ago, so don't feel too bad. Overpaid for a Nimis a couple days later at 107div and I'm about to buy a Mageblood, which thankfully will be cheap af. 90div for 4 flask, not bad. This league is fun, not sure why the hate is so strong. I guess the Shenanigans at the beginning of the league really destroyed it for a lot of people, but it's a single player game after all. Lol
i hate when ppl act like NOBODY plays the league anymore, yeah most people left but you can still comfortably play the game and earn currency unless u sell something that barely anybody buys game is fun :DD
@@card425 we act like it’s not normal for an arpg to fall off a bit after a month it’s totally normal but it still feels very active most the stuff I put up for sale insta sells so no problems here, yeah it’s not the best league I’ve played but I’m still having a blast tbh
What can I do to improve my fps - i am using rtx 2070 super and when i am doing legions i have no fps and sometimes i even crash - i am playing kinetic blast
Some builds and some content will dip your FPS. That is just PoE for you. Crashing might be a more serious issue though. 1. As mentioned by another commenter, definitely use Vulcan or DX12. Experiment for 5-10 maps with each and see how it feels. 2. Definitely use an SSD, not an HDD. If you don't have one, get one right now. They are crazy cheap for the past years and it will change your life - no joke. 3. Lower your graphic settings bit by bit. Go as low as much as you personally want. I like my game to look pretty, so I accept bigger FPS drops, but a more gorgeous game in general. 4. I personally had dozens of crashes a day playing PoE a few years ago. The solution was updating my BIOS. This might not have been the reason for the crashes, but it worked for me. 5. Update all your drivers, OS and Nvidia graphic drivers.
@@DanielTheExiled I am pretty sure i have tried everything you suggest except the BIOS, even played 800x600 resolution on lowest graphics, tried all directx and vulkan, usually i dont crash with other builds so i guess its because of kinatic blast hh and soul eater buffs shootting too many projectiles. Could using the setting "reset this PC" in windows help improve performance?
@@liokostov Well, that is odd, because you shouldn't need to play on such low resolution. Technically, any game that doesn't run on 1080p has issues or the PC itself has something. You could reset your PC, but that is quite drastic, so look into how to reset your PC and the steps. Look up guides from Microsoft. You can also use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) first to get rid of any old driver skeletons, but use a guide as well. In the end, which is important any program that you have running which isn't part of a normal Windows installation can cause issues and slow down your PC. If you have a laptop, they can come with additional bloatware, so you can look into that as well. Also, anti-virus programs are a scam, you only need Microsoft Defender nowadays.
I didn't think people would want my scuffed LA version lol Check notes for more info: pobb.in/tP4Yf4p4rbJ3 (also added to the description of the video)
@@schwupdiewupp1654 Yeah, I'm not lol It is a very scuffed build that lives and dies with Headhunter. Not a huge fan of playing builds like this, but getting 3 raw div drops, voidborn keys and a bunch of high value scarabs all the time in T17s is worth the deaths. I'm sure I could fix my res by getting a proper ring instead of Death Rush, but going zoom zoom is fun :^)
Good video! I got 90% of this info from other subs already but you earned a sub and look forward to getting some of my info from you in the future. Good luck to you Sir (and everyone else x )
sanctum is very much worth doing. especially if you decide to use hour of divinty and invest into room reveal relics, you can make on average about 3-4 div per run, and I can complete a run not paying attention at all watching youtube in 10-12 minutes a run (my build is like 600 div so for the more average player more like 15-20 minutes a run). realistically I do about 4 sanctums an hour which equates to about 16 raw div an hour + whatever relics I drop. This league I managed to even drop a raw mirror and a scripture which boosted my average to an absurd amount. if you want a more budget method, I recommend anyone to look into captain lance's day 2 penance brand sanctum this league. now for the cons: its going to take several hours of gameplay to go complete brain dead speed running because you need to learn what afflictions are run ending, and what afflictions are meaningless. As the video says, sanctum requires high bossing dps with high mobility to function. very limited number of builds can pull this off, and it is recommended that you play something that doesnt require you to target the enemy (i.e. hexblast mines, penance brand, totems). It can also get repetitive and boring but I can also say that with just about any other strat in poe. as for tips on how to run fast sanctums, floors 1 and 2 cannot spawn divines or mirrors. This means that there is no profit to be made here, and can actually even hurt your run if you decide to pick up a reward while running hour of divinity. that means that your goal in floor 1 and 2 is to speed run as fast as possible without picking up any run ending afflictions. if you are running room reveal relics, treat the first 2 floors as if you dont have the relics, just looking at your immediate available rooms, and choosing the least harmful room possible. If you do end up being forced into an especially bad affliction (golden smoke, the prism one that gives you a random affliction on gaining an affliciton) in the early floors, it might be a good idea to just ditch the run and do another one ( very very unlikely to brick yourself like this, especially if you have run a lot of sanctums. maybe 1 in 20 runs or so just keep an eye out to give yourself as many options as possible while you go through). I think the best set up for sanctum is 5x +2 room reveals and 1 coffer relic that has 50 or so maximum resolve on boss kill, and 10% or so increased maximum resolve, you can either toss in a 6th +2 room reveal, or go for an hour of divinity when you get confident. This allows for a solid combination of seeing the majority of the sanctum as well as having a very solid source of keeping up your resolve when you inevitably get hit by a stray projectile. There is also the merchant strat where you get a bunch of +2 merchant offers, and then throw in a gilded chalice which allows you to dupe divines up to like 20+ if you do it right, but I find it really inconsistent and hard to pull off. floor 3 and 4 is where the divines and mirrors live. spend a little bit more time looking at what your room options are from the additional reveals, and rush through them quickly.
Necropolis has been a great league for people who don’t want to play the game. Don’t want to earn currency? Sit in your hideout and spam maps until you get the nameless seer or a div bomb modifier. Or just spend literally hours in the graveyard crafting for mirror tier items you spec off a spreadsheet. Seriously what a bizarre state of things…
Atlas Skill Tree Strategy - poeplanner.com/a/k7O EDIT: Hey! This was planned as a 3-5 minute long video, but I cut it down and made a short instead. Problem is, I had to leave out a lot of info. I played around 90+ hours since league start and with 3 characters in total, partly to test things out and to get my last voidstones. Maps take my Blade Vortex build around 3-4 minutes, depending on the shrine buff and if I die lol TL;DR: Getting a headhunter takes time and on the way, you might find a few cool items for your next build 🙏
Hi :) The league has been out for a while, so my strategy has changed slightly. It's still mostly maps, scarabs, shrines, strongboxes and Searing Exarch. The tree below has 132 points, so don't expect to get everything. Some things, like maximizing maps is more important than shrines, strongboxes or blocking content early on. Singular Focus can be taken later on, but only when you have all 10+ favoured map slots. This is also how I make currency right now with a Blade Vortex build. Rush through maps, explode everything, click all the boxes, loot and get out. It's quite smooth, but keep in mind, focus on what content you enjoy and what fits your build. Nearly spit my coffee out when I read those patch notes ☕ UPDATE: The patch is out since yesterday. League feels better, allflames and corpses can sometimes be sold for 25c and more, which is good income. One thing that bothers me is the tiny button to itemise the corpse, but I struggle with small font and buttons due to my eyes. Still, much better, but league is still on average more difficult, because you can't opt-out of it. I guess it's time to deal with it and get a tankier build going? 🤔
SRS and MF chiftean my best build Affliction League is like get money then buy item. ( btw for me ) but the next league is like craft your own build just for stop dying XD GGG setup
I'm Team "Fear of the Light" Atlas Keystone when it comes to Necropolis. Who's with me? PS: I look so angry and weird during the first half of the trailer xD I was just stunned at what I was looking at. The UI flashed me a bit - in a good way.
I'm not a PoB warrior and usually take what other content creators say 😅 But I'll try to get a video out on Sunday/Monday after the league launch and talk about my league starter. PS: Zoro profile pic 🙏
And obviously you have to have the astral projector if you want to run Shockwave Totem and it is basically a requirement for the build and I wouldn't run it without that ring but it is easier to get now then it was in previous leagues and it should be cheap still next league
