Hmmm.. sounds like you may have Sampled some audio in 'Stereo' ..but are only looking at the LEFT or the RIGHT.. and if you only have a MONO input.. then you'd be hearing 'one' channel of audio.. so you could be looking at the opposite 'waveform', which ..if that's the case.. you would see an empty 'waveform'. So, in other words.. try changing the 'View:' 🙏🏻
such a shame the people who own the rights to this technology dous not bring this instrument back to todays market in some type of form and i dont mean software. I am pretty shure there would be a market for it.
Simultaneous Samples playing at once.. layered. Decay Samples.. like an open hi-hat.. to have variations. Velocity to give you different levels depending on how hard you hit the pad. 👍🏼
Remember showing Audiomaster on my $500 home Amiga computer to my DJ/studio buddies. It was soo easy and intuitive to use. I would fine cut samples and create sequences in seconds, which would take them a minute or two to do on their $1500 Akai 3000. Blew their mind. :)
I cut my teeth on the Amiga 500.. that thing was a leap forward as a creative platform.. I was on the Commodore 64, beforehand.. but when the Amiga hit the streets.. wow, we could really get creative.. and, as it happens.. the engineers and programmers went on to work for Ensoniq and Emu, as far as I know. So, in essence.. it was the dawn of the Sampler/Sequencers.. as we knew it.. very fond memories of the crews I was in making “mods” for tracker apps that were used in various ‘intros’ and ‘trainers’ 👾🤓
I’m surprised how close they sound considering the HUGE price difference. The 3000 might’ve been slightly more bassy but I don’t think it’s anything that can’t be added with EQ (mpc 2000xl + s900/950) for less than the price of a 3000 is the way to go imo
The DX has pitch control, unlike the DMX.. so maybe you're hearing the different pitched 'claps'. But, you can see my DX here on the channel.. the same DX I used to Sample these sounds from 👍🏼 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eh3Wr0UvbGA.html
Thank you 🙏🏻 ... The ENV will cut the sound out.. but I can only say that will occur when other sliders are in context. So, try copying the settings I have in this clip and adjust your FREQ, the ENV & RES.. and you'll see what I mean 🙏🏻 ru-vid.comvYguxarnbjo
I’ve had my Juno 6 since 1985. Amazing manual that can create any sound. I just wish they had put numbers and lock positions on the dials for writing down the sound you want to keep.
Legend! ..thanks very much 🙏🏻 PS. there's also another great trick over on my sub-channel.. try this with your 909 too 😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ICm-J953K4c.htmlfeature=shared
The 3000 sounds warmer in the mid & lower range & the 4K is brighter, but are you pumping 96KHz out of the 4K which would decimate the 3000'S reputation . There's a reason Lynn professed the 4k the best.
First, the MPC has to be in Controller Mode. Then, go into Logic's 'Preferences' Menu > Devices 'tab'. Change the Output AND Input Devices to 'MPC'. Then connect your MPC outputs to your Mixer / Speakers and connect your Microphone to the MPC's XLR input, adjust gain.. Configure a Logic Audio Track's 'Input' to be the MPC.. Hit Record in Logic and SING!🙏🏻

So, beat makers of today, with the advanced technology, what's keeping you from making great beats like this instead of that ice cream truck nonsense now a days?
No, I'm using a SCSI2SD.. but, I hear you're meant to use an exFAT pre-formatted SD-card, then create blank files called HD0.hda, HD1.hda, etc. (You can mount the SD card in your computer, create blank text files.. then just rename / replace their suffixes from .txt to .hda). Each one of these represents the SCSI ID that the ASR can access. Then go into COMMAND>SYSTEM/MIDI and format each of those SCSI locations (HD0 = SCSI-ID0, HD1 = SCSI-ID1, etc).. more on how to format SCSI in this tutorial 🙏🏻 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hZ8VPWOY7tc.html
I'll be getting an MPC-X SE, then. Inside of a mix with a vocal going, any kind of difference will be negligible to my ears. The newer MPC's have a lot of inputs and outputs too.
