Nunez, who was the project's co-creator and videographer. She grievously, passed away following a long illness (1966-2021). Michelle was a shining star dimmed too soon, beloved by many across the globe. The original intention of the film was to spread the essential messages of the Dark Mother far and wide. As friends of the founders we are honoring that intent by sharing what has been hidden away for over 30 years.

I support the idea that Jesus was married. I too believe the Crucifixion caused the Madonna to be lost to those who were unable to comprehend what Jesus meant by the Resurrection upon the 3rd day. God created Trees such as the TREE of LIFE on the Third Day (Genesis 1:12). Jesus the Barabbas was married and was the Rabboni of Israel aka Nicodemus aka John who when his disciples supposed he was the Christ, testified that he was not saying...for the Bride belongs to the Bridegroom, I am the friend, the forerunner (John 3:28-29). Was the Madonna black? She as you point out...was a tanner. Her skin was blackened by the sun (think Apollos the sun god) (Song of Songs 1:6). In fact, the Woman Jesus called the Magdalene, was sullied, her reputation was blackened because she spent the night, under the cover of darkness, with the Rabboni, the Teacher of Israel (John 3: 1-21; Luke 19: 1-10). The story gets complicated as the two talk out in the open at NOON (John 4:10) and then she "supposes" he may be the Gift of God, the Christ and goes into town asking people if this man she met is the Christ. So check out my work and see how people down through the ages have also asked that question and supposed the Magdalene and the Rabboni were married to each other. What does come into play is the fact that Jesus Simon bar Jonah is the Rock Jesus [the woman] chose upon which the Church, the family of God was to be built ...and yet people have stumbled over Jesus' choice because Simon bar Jonah, like Jonah was reluctant to "forgive sinners" and so preachers and commentators have separated all the Simons, in the same way that they have separated all the Marys (since Vatican 2) and have rejected Peter as the "black rock" and the Don who belongs to the Madonna, as the Father and Shepherd of her sheep, and as her husbandman, her Lord that she goes searching for in the Garden (John 20:15).

Spiritually speaking (gender aside), matriarchal wisdom can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God). Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth).The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle. As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8). Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process. In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld, her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle. Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as head to tail (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12:3) To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol ♀️) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle. Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face. The heroines journey has been in my bookshelf for 5 years. Finally reading it I’m seeing my embodied journey reflected back at me. So affirming, clarifying and powerful. Only motherhood has freed me of psychological pain but after a serious case of postpartum depression bordering on postpartum psychosis. I guess I found comfort in the dark, wet warmth of the womb or what I consider my dark feminine journey. I identify with Persephone or Xquic. Sometimes I identify with Hestia. I do enjoy being a housewife and mother though. Some of us find ourselves thriving in traditional patriarchal roles. Every hero or heroine must return home at some point, and I think Joseph Campbell was correct in that women don't actually have to go out into the world the way a man or male energy should. Feminine energy mainly takes an inward journey. Of course, we all should take elements from each type of journey, but it's perfectly healthy and fine for men to focus on the outward experience and for women to focus on the inward experience at home. We are not genderless sexless or even neutral beings - our souls may be, but our bodies and minds do lean towards either the masculine or feminine. Why not master whatever we are already given instead of chasing after an opposite that isn't natural to us?

Yes, quite a long time before - 27 years. This cathedral is in Orcival, which is a commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne in central France. It is about 445 km directly south of Paris. She was originally black but was refinished to her current complexion in 1960.

I read the book early 2000 and it really awakened something inside of me. It helped me innerstand why my mother was the way she was and my relationship with her. After reading the book I became so much more compassionate with my mother and myself. Our relationship became so much better. I’m very aware that it helped me to heal the wounds I had from my childhood with my mother. Abandoned at early age was traumatic and I loved this book.💯🙏🏽🌹♥️ I call it the woman’s Bible after reading it.
